Previous owner had a car stereo installed, and the retractable cover would not stay close so it got rained on. Killed the LCD but radio still worked. Saw this and thought, worth it to try for that price. Great looking unit & speakers, much more modern than what was there. May have to enlarge the opening depending on what you had before, but once that was done it fit perfectly. Was really impressed with how good it sounded. Paired right up to my phone with no problem and streams nicely. FM doesn't really pick up that great at the lake but was fine at home. That is most likely because of proximity to any radio stations. I almost bought another to put in my old truck, but the bulkiness of marine speakers likely wouldn't all good fitment. I would highly recommend this unit for an inexpensive system and get a flip up cover for water-proofing. The only downside I could find is there is no backlight for the LCD and it can be hard to read in the sun, but once I have my phone connected, it really doesn't matter. On year 2 of this system and couldn't be happier, hope it lasts a long time, but even if you get 5 years you could just replace it with the same thing for that price! Please check the manufacturer website as we are NOT the producer of your vehicle and we don’t want to provide any false and inaccurate technical information. Thank you. **Q: Is there a replacement for the MR.17.2 which will use the remotes built into my boat?** A: Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We can provide the part/s that is available in our warehouse. Thank you. **Q: What is amperage with radio and speakers** A: Its a decent radio for the boat but it isn't going to blow you away. Not a high quality radio. But a great Deal for the price. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great sounding unit for the price *by M***E on June 2, 2026* I was honestly not expecting much, but anything had to be better than what we had in our boat. You're spending $80 on a stereo kit and 4 speakers, so important to understand this is not a ultra high-end receiver. Can it be louder? It sure can, but the sound is clear, I can hear it over my motor at highest RPM and the unit it easy to use. Bluetooth is easy to set up, the microphone for the phone works well, too. Install was easy, if you are even a little bit handy. I replaced an old unit and used existing speaker cables rather than re-wiring under the boat which would be pain unless it's out of the water. Overall, I'm pleased with this purchase and recommend. ## Frequently Bought Together - Pyle Marine Radio Receiver Speaker Set 12v Single Din Style Bluetooth Compatible Waterproof Digital Boat In Dash Console System with Mic 4 Speakers, Remote Control, Wiring Harness PLMRKT38W (White) - Water Resistant Marine Stereo Cover - Smoke Colored Heavy Duty Boat Radio Protector Shield with Flip-up Door & Spring Loaded Release - Mounting Gasket Included - Pyle PLMRCW2,White --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - πŸ›’ **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** β€” Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** β€” Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - πŸ’° **No Hidden Fees** β€” All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - πŸ”„ **15-Day Free Returns** β€” Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - πŸ”’ **Secure Payments** β€” Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** β€” Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.com.cy/products/42479102-marine-radio-receiver-speaker-set-12v-single-din-style-bluetooth](https://www.desertcart.com.cy/products/42479102-marine-radio-receiver-speaker-set-12v-single-din-style-bluetooth) --- *Product available on Desertcart Cyprus* *Store origin: CY* *Last updated: 2026-11-01*
