Does Ovante demodex shampoo actually kill mites?

I don't know if it actually kills them, but I had a very bad infestation for two years before I used this product. I use this shampoo every day, and it manages them very well. I don't have the itching anymore in my hair and scalp. I highly rate this product. It's a little smelly, but your hair does not smell like sulfur after you rinse. I might not need the product anymore, but I am too afraid to stop and have the itching come back. If I ever do stop using it, I will keep a full bottle handy in case the itching comes back.

I get demodex biting me on my chest & back will demodex control shampoo get rid of them?

This is a longish answer - years of experimenting - what works for me.   
1.  Always wash hair in/over sink, not when in shower or tub.
2. Use 2 towels - one for hair - one for arms, neck etc. 
3. I no longer follow directions on the shampoo bottle. This is what has made a significant improvement for me:
-thoroughly wet hair
-over sink , towel until it’s not dripping 
- use generous amount of shampoo, apply to scalp, massaging in all over. 
Draw fingers thru hair to ends, but focusing on scalp. 
LEAVE IN FOR 15-25 MINUTES !!
If you have long hair, clip it up so none touching skin. have a fresh small towel around neck. 
4. lather & rinse hair. 
5. shampoo again & rinse immediately. 
- At this point I always wear a blouse or robe to cover my arms & body. Dry & style hair as you usually would.
Also - I change my pillow case every day.   Clip my hair off face & neck at night. when I get a bite on skin, I dab it with Frankincense essential oil (good quality organic if possible) - stops itch & heals faster.
DONT GIVE UP!  You CAN get to the place where this frustrating mite IS NOT controlling your life! 
does take experimentation and time. 
This shampoo was moderately effective until I used it as above.
Now it’s TONS better!

Which types of mites does this work on? Only Demodex or are there others that it eradicates also?

i don't know about other mites. But i use it for the demodex for many years. And only this one savesmy hair.

I have had dust mites for the last 7yrs. The dermatologist told me that it was not a physical but a psychological ailment. After 1 1/2ys. my husband who himself is a medical doctor consulted an ID specialist who prescribed a strong mite medicine. I have a  bald at the moment but I see some hope, I see hair coming back. Please consult a physician before you change your shampoo.
