good reel for the money. Has a good retrieve ratio for a spin cast reel.

Excellent reel
Excellent reel great quality. I put this on a Shakespeare fishing pole. The reel has smooth easy casting and easy to use for beginners. The only issue is the fishing line that the reel comes with is a 10 pound line. I personally like a 14 pound line. We live in a windy climate and the line is very fine and gets blown around. I will most likely change out the line. Excellent value for the price.

Solid Reel, Very Good Value
Buttery smooth reeling and casting. Excellent beginner reel, or even a good choice if you don't feel like unknotting your reel.

Defective product
Product defective upon arrival. Could not get line to unwind to cast, drag broken. Just a waste of money. To return it involves more money in gas to drive 120 miles to UPS since there is no UPS in my small town. All these cheap, foreign made products...

Usually these are good reels
I have had several of these reels. For the price they are usually very reliable and are ready to go out of the package. ( I usually fish for small and largemouth bass with them. ) The one I just received is a real disappointment. Right out of the package it would not release line. I took the cover off and found it to have been double spooled so I had to strip off quite a bit of line to clear up the mess. Then it was very noisy. Took it apart and found that there was no trace of ANY lube and the gears were fairly rough cut. With some grease on the gears it is less noisy and with some use may get better. Also, I don't use the bait clicker but the one on this real is hard to engage.

Not for plastic line
Great out of box but returned after 2 weeks due to grabbing of string with cast

Not good. Mine knocked and wobbled during operation. Very sloppy mechanism. Returned.
