I bought these to use around the house lighting candles - works great - no more burning fingers as I try to stick a flame down into a taller glass for the wick. Also using the other one for the RV and traveling. Great product! Glad I found it.

Fire - good, running out of butane - bad, making more garbage - worse. As someone excited about reducing dependency on fuel in general, this is awesome! Our supposedly refillable butane lighters never seem to be refillable, and then they are just more garbage. We already widely use the flexible head for candles, and are always looking around for the one lighter someone put somewhere else. Now we have 2 (one for the fireplace and one for candles), and these are just awesome!Out of the box, I started paper towels on fire (over the metal sink of course :P). The arc beam was like a laser cutting through the paper. You almost have to go slower to give the paper time to catch fire before its just gone. Then some candle wicks. Like a regular lighter, you have to hold the arc beam on the wick for a few seconds for it to heat up and light the wax. But there is no risk of burns from a flame getting too close to your fingers while holding the lighter, and there is no flame going the wrong direction. Brilliant!UPDATE: Just had a firepit fire outside and used the lighter to start up the newspaper under the wood. Many different angles and edges of the paper started immediately. Very happy!The 2-pack did come with two (very short) charging cables, but any micro USB cable works. The lighters came charged to 3-4 out of 4 indicator lights, and charging is quick. The really cool thing is you can charge them off anything with a USB outlet that can charge a phone. Where I'm really going at some point is to a "solar panel/wind turbine charges storage battery which charges everything else" solution. This is one more step in that direction.

I bought these for my daughters that use candles. They work as described. No issues.

I love these lighters, being able to just charge them and not have to constantly replace those long lighters all the time is so nice. So far they work great on candles and incense.

Not what I thought it would be, doesn't work for my need.

A modern way to light a candle, wick, or even a grill. You have to be a little patient but it’s got a long reach and does the job.

Battery life could be a little better but it's not bad. I think they would be a little better value if they had replaceable batteries for end of life since they're built pretty well.

Comes in a small box that nicely fits two lighters and two separate charging cables, which is nice because you can charge them at the same time, it lights candles with ease, you just have to be patient and hold the electric arc on the wick, takes about 4 seconds to light things. If you leave the slider up for two long without pressing the lighting button the the lighter turns off, which is good because it has a relatively low battery life, however charging is quick, about 30 minutes to charge for around 50 to 60 lights. The top half of the lighter is snake like and bends so you don't have to burn yourself when lighting candles.4 stars instead of 5 because I can't really find many uses for this other than lighting hard to reach candles. Also not 5 stars because I shocked myself within the first 20 minutes of the package arriving, and it is relatively easy to do on accident, however shock is not bad enough to call unsafe.Would buy again because it does it's purpose of not getting yourself burned when lighting candles perfectly.

So far works excellent, good for candles and lighting natural gas or propane appliances. Don't know how long a charge lasts yet as they are new.

These lighters light paper, birch bark, bbq and gas stoves very well. Much better choice for our environment because they are rechargeable via USB and don't use a fuel.
