The price is affordable & my medical lab tests show that these are beneficial to my 78-year-old body health, keeping my calcium level where it is most beneficial.

I have to always say something like the following when reviewing dietary supplements: there is no way for a consumer to know what exactly is in a particular brand or bottle, and therefore what the effectiveness is, even with something like calcium + D3 which are known to help with bone strength. Congress has given supplement manufacturers and sellers complete freedom to sell anything and call it anything.That said, I am at risk for osteoporosis and my blood work usually shows I am low on Vitamin D, despite living in the South which has sun most of the year. I don't eschew dairy, in fact I love milk and cheese, but according to my doctor that's not enough. He said 1.2 grams of calcium and 2000mcg of D3 daily. He didn't mention "calcium citrate" specifically and I know there are several different forms of calcium. This product is the closest to the minimum amount. The dosage is FOUR tablets daily, which is quite unpleasant, as the pills have no coating. I hate taking them, which means I'm going to take two in the morning and sometimes forget to take the two evening pills. I've been taking a couple of months, so it's too early to tell if there's any real effect. I also walk outdoors about an hour a day, and do a minimal amount of weight-lifting. I also take a multi-vitamin that has minerals. So far, I have had one fall. Slipped on leaves on the driveway. My ankle was twisted, not broken. That's all I can say. Within the caveats I have listed, I recommend this product - mostly for the dosage (if it really has the ingredients as claimed.)

I did the absorption test and these pills are absorbable with coffee, water, etc. I can't swallow large capsules whole, so I simply chew them, then swallow them with yogurt. They are easy to chew.

This formula was great, not sure why they replaced it with one that adds magnesium. Sad though because I can’t find this one anymore and can’t take the added magnesium because of kidney issues.

As expected

I can't really give a good review. My one star is not an indication of a bad product just how do you tell if a vitamin is doing what it's supposed to be doing other than through a blood test. I take these because my doctor recommended it and brought this particular brand because I liked the price and what the description was like. Probably will buy this brand again unless the price goes up a whole bunch.

Good heck, this is a big pill. I struggle with taking pills, so this is difficult it for me, but the coating should make it easier for others - normal people, LOL! I'm assuming it's doing its job. I was told to take it to hello in not getting more kidney stones and so far I haven't had more. I'm sure for lab work soon though and update if necessary. (08.08.22)
