Editors are important
Good concept but bizarre grammar. Editors are important. I can’t bear to read this book aloud to my son, not the way it is written. The message is great, but the execution is a mess.

The idea behind the book is great and its partially executed but there are multiple grammatical errors (which I find unacceptable) and the book is quite flimsy.

Huh??
Returning it. Half way through a different book began, I think it has an awesome concept but it is unusable..

Can't even begin to say how much I love this book!!!! I am so glad that I read other's reviews and went with it! The techniques and language in this book will be incorporated into my EBD classroom. I ordered on a late Saturday evening and it arrived early Monday afternoon!

A fantastic read for kids learning to manage emotions and cope with normal life challenges. Written for all children - those doing well and those who are struggling.

There is no book like this out there! I wish it had been around when my children were small, but now they are parents and can utilize them with their kids. There is help for mom and dad in here, too, as all learn and practice these behavior modifications together. As a former elementary and pre-school teacher, I know the fun kids will have putting these tactics into practice. There will be giggles instead of tears. There will be empowerment instead of frustration - and that is the most important reason to purchase this book.

Good beginner book for self-regulation but doesn't provide a lot
I was looking at this book to help my Highly Sensitive Child but there are much better books out there for self-regulation. I expected much more in such a small book but there are really only a few recommendations. The author's suggestions to parents, at the end of the book, include essential oils and looking at food allergies which seems so out of place when discussing self-regulation. I'd recommend checking out "Breathe Like a Bear" by Kira Willey.

My students loved it. We paused to practice the strategies after each "section." The fact that it's a rhyme makes it fun to read.

So good
These help my daughter a lot, very grateful for something with fun pictures and easy for kids to read through but also very helpful in terms of remembering strategies from the book in times of struggling with her regulating.
