APISUPER ACTIVATED CARBON Aquarium Canister Filter Filtration Pouch 1-Count, White (729A)

I'm going to copy this review for several of their products, since they all work together and I'm equally pleased with all of them.I use these filter pouches with a filstar xp3 filter to keep an approximately 100 gallon pond clean. There are 5 turtles, lots of fish (since the turtles would rather not work for their food), a rather large plecostomus and the occasional frog in the pond.With some assistance from the plecostomus, I've never had an issue keeping the water clear; even in the summer when I have to add water to it at least every other day.I use the ammonia remove pouch, carbon pouch, bio chem-zorb pouch, bio chem-stars and the 20 and 30 ppi filters.Anything that can handle that many turtles definitely deserves 5 stars.

We have a 55 Gal fresh water tank with a Rena XP2 filter unit. From bottom to top we use 2-20s then 2 30s, in the next basket it's the activated charcoal then the bio chem stars with two Micro filtration pads to finish it off. Works extremely well. Change the filters ever 2-3 months and have never had any problems even though we tend to overfeed :-(

Fits my filter very well. I'm going to give it some time to see how well it cleans. I've been using a "sock" filled with carbon. This one feels better and seems to expose more surface area to the water. I had to rinse it very well before the water would run clear. Lots of carbon dust in this. The price might be more than I want to pay compared to my aquarium sock, but, we'll see. This really is super convenient.

The ammonia content in my turtle tank has never been an issue, but I've always used the Rena products and swapped the filter out every other month (I have 3 YBS in a 150g tank with a Rena XP4. I clean it about 2x/month.)I recently purchased some generic "activated carbon" from the pet store and used it. Within the month my water was yellow. I bought some "super ammonia absorbing carbon" from the same store and it did not help. I ended up dumping and refilling the tank but kept the same filters. Within a month the water was yellowing again.I ordered some more Rena super carbon filters and popped them in the tank, and within a few days the water was crystal clear again. I'll be staying brand loyal from now on!

I Received the item much sooner than I expected. I would buy from them again. It has been hard for me to find these pouches, so this is my new place. The price was great

This was absolutely perfect for our canister filter for our 75 gallon fishtank, and when used in conjunction with other API products for your filter, will produce crystal clear water for your aquarium. Came quickly and in brand new condition as advertised. I'm very pleased with my purchase, and used this along with API Filstar XP Filter Micro-Filtration Pads, 3-Count and API Bio-Chem Zorb Filter Media Pouch Size 6 and all three together were enough to recharge our filter for literally clear as a crystal water in my tank. Use according to directions.
