Dexter Outdoors Dextreme Dual Edge 10" Stiff Fillet Knife with Sheath

I like dexter knives and have a few others, but this was my first dual edge dextreme. I like that it comes with a sheath, really just a blade guard, but it makes storing the knife easier. Handle is nice and a definite upgrade over the white handle dexter knives. The knife is sharp right out of the package and I expect it will be similar in quality to the other dexter knives I have. I used it for the first time last night and I wish I had worn my filleting gloves. The dual edge seems like a good idea until you forget about it. I went to push the tip up over the dorsal fin of the fish and sliced my finger pretty bad. So giving a fillet knife 4 stars because i cut myself doesn’t feel right, but I’m just not sure the design is safe, at least not for me.

Awesome stuff blade. Made filleting easier for me. I like the serrated back tip.

Just try it… you won’t regret it.

Good handle (hilt), but I had to re-sharpen because I like my knives very sharp.
