Works great I have one on both the wells

I had a low yielding well so having the Pumptec protecting my pump and saving me money in premature pump failure was what I needed.

All that I know is that their support is great but until my pump fails, I will not know if it prevents the pump from burnout.

The Franklin Electric pumptec protector was very easy to install and appears to be a good quality product. I guess I will know as the years progress and my pump is protected.

I've had Pumptechs on our well since 1987. First two lasted over 15 years each. But in the last five years, I've gone thru four of the newer style. First didn't make the warranty (one year,) second only a little over the warranty, third about 2 years. This one was bought to have as a "stand by when third failed. In service, it lasted less than four months. Because I bought it to have as replacement, warranty ran out before it was installed. I can't recommend that anyone buy a Franklin Pumptech based upon my experience. In working years, as a plumber / well pump installer, I installed dozens of these. Next door neighbor has two in service that I installed in 2000 (22 years ago.) Quality is longer a standard with Franklin.
