Having seen the 'original' deck, even knowing these are a reprint, I had expectations these didn't attain!!. They lack the vibrant colours of the original print, & for me, that diminishes the energy. They are still a nice deck, & I will be using them, & know other people will like them for what they are.

It’s a beautiful deck utterly destroyed by the bigoted author. Illogical, sexist, heteronormative and laced with outdated and unwarranted dating advice. The author needs to step into the 21st a century and consider that we’ve moved on for a reason. The dating advice to court like people did hundreds of years ago? She doesn’t realise that the courting often did not lead to a long-term relationship, especially in royal courts where it was a bit of fun only. Nor was marriage made for love. Learn some history.The only non-sexist card is the Native American one.The guidebook has rigid and very specific depictions of men and women and doesn’t want to make room for alternative representation or people who do not rigidly conform to her standards. A huge issue I take is that we all embody masculine and feminine energies but this book denies that as a possibility and frequently depicts women as support systems who can’t do anything it breed, look pretty, focus on their ‘inner world’ and support the men in their lives. To her women are not to have strong positions or careers. The author says that women are to be supportive only and if they attempt to do anything else then they become petty and intentionally pick fights with men for attention, that it is only natural that women behave in an exclusively and traditionally ‘feminine’ way in or risk becoming demons that destroy the lives of men. It also depicts men as either a logical protector supported by a woman or a money-crazed war hound whose woman is driving him to madness. There are a number of cards with almost exactly the same meaning and there’s so much whining about the younger generations and the way they date it’s like listening to- actually no, my grandmother in her 90s didn’t have this mindset. I binned the guidebook and use my own intuition to read this. I also don’t want people I read for feeling excluded, pressured, confined or offended by this tripe.Ladies, don’t bow your heads to a man and spend your days spinning in pretty circles dreaming about 16th century courtship. Take charge and live your own lives.

Lovely deck from Rockpool. Quite subtle coloyred pencil style illustrations, that are colourful and positive. Guided messages are full on with great advice. But sadly not for me. Returned.

Las ilustraciones están bellamente realizadas con lápices de colores, lo cual es un trabajo de arte fantástico. Vienen todas con los bordes rosas. No son reversibles, si leen invertidas se nota cuándo lo están, ojo con ello. No me agrada que el cardstock sea tan poco, son 36 cartas, y me parece algo caro el precio, pero hice la compra por las ilustraciones que me gustaron demasiado. Consideren ese detalle solamente.
