Completely Silent
I originally ordered a CX650M for my PC build but the fan noise from that PSU was a tad bit too loud for my liking. I started searching for a PSU that was specifically quiet at idle loads, and discovered this product through LinusTechTips' PSU tier list. I was a bit cautious that it was cheaper than similarly rated parts, but I read a couple favorable reviews and decided to take the plunge.Installation was very easy. Noise level is very low, I would say it hits 25 dbA max. A minor complaint I have is that the flattened style cabling was a bit of a nuisance because I wanted to connect them to PSU extension cords, but this isn't a concern if you're going to plug it straight into the motherboard. Another issue was that the motherboard power cable took an uncomfortable amount of effort to plug into the PSU because the connector heads are split into two parts. However, these issues were not enough to warrant docking a star and I am completely satisfied after having installed it. For about the same price as a budget oriented PSU like the Corsair CX650M, the Whisper M is probably the best bang for your buck PSU considering its gold rated efficiency and full modular design.

insanely good quality at a low price
shipped fast considering weather. it came with all of the cables you need, all high quality ribbon cables that are easy to manage. only complaint is that the cables are a bit stiff so you might have to remove your hdd slot to install. cables were perfect lengths though

Very poor design decision
As the previous review stated, the cabling is a mess. Bitfenix is not the only power supply maker that provides flat cabling, and most seem to employ it on their high end units. I mistakenly bought into the marketing that flat cables were easier to route and aided airflow. I discovered both claims are absolutely false. The problem with Bitfenix, aside from the flat cabling, is it's implementation of the modular connectors for the power cable to the motherboard. Very poor design decision. I had to manually separate several strands of wire from both flat ribbons and then stretch the cabling just so the two connectors on the PSU side could be inserted into the PSU. I was very uncomfortable doing this for fear of damaging the wires.I bought this unit because the electronic components are highly rated, the price was right, and the 450W power rating was more in line with my needs. Not only was the cabling a PITA, it was so knotted up I had to remove a case fan to install the power supply.I ended up replacing the unit with a 550W EVGA G2 PSU that had round cabling. Much easier to install and route the cabling, and it only cost a few dollars more. It's more power than I need, but it's so efficient that's really not an issue. The fan on the EVGA is also superior. It pushes more air and is just as quiet. It even has an "eco" mode, which allows the fan to come to a complete halt if cooling is sufficient. Finally, the EVGA comes with a floppy connector, the Bitfenix does not. Most people may not need this, but I did.The only reason this unit gets 3 stars is for internal build quality. Save yourself some grief, buy an EVGA G2. Same warranty, same quality, superior design and superior features. Even the packaging is better. Less waste upon disposal.

Poor Design
Unfortunately I couldn't even power it on due to the tolerance of the plug for the 24 pin power to the board. Couldn't get it to safely seat even with the board flexing. Cables are extremely stiff. Seemed like good value for the price, but not going to risk cracking my board to save a few bucks. The 24 pin is also impossible to cleanly route on the back side of my case due to it being a flat cable. Unfortunate

Great PSU, stiff cables.
Overall I have no had an issue with this unit. I got it suggested to me from a friend who loves it and I have to say, it does very well in my system. The only aspect of this PSU kit I dislike are the cables. They are a flat varient that can be very stiff and hard to work with if you don't have a good case with wire routing. Luckily my case was very handy in that aspect so I didn't have much trouble. Just be aware of you have minimal routing options.

Great unit at a great price.
Great unit. Quiet and compact with great efficiency(AnandTech found that the 450W model actually hits platinum efficiency). Fully modular. 7 year warranty. The color scheme might be a turn off for those who have windowed cases and like to show off all of their hardware, but for most it won't be an issue. This unit is made by CWT(Channel Well Technology) who are known for their high quality PSU's(they also make some of Corsair's high end units).I see a lot of complaints about the cables. Yes, the 24 pin ATX cable has a big "boot" on it which houses capacitors that help with voltage stability. I didn't think it was that big of a deal, I had no trouble routing cables in an mITX case for a home server. One of the reasons I bought this unit was because of the style of cables, and of course efficiency and price. If you need a decently priced 450W PSU, I definitely recommend getting this.

Great power supply.
I am using this in a small build for running pfSense and needed the PSU to be very quiet. I've never heard anything from the unit and have not seen any increase in power usage over the old style commercial router. Note that the new pfSense unit is a full blown 8 GB, 250 GB machine with an AMD r3 Ryzen, 2nd gen CPU. This is capable of all types of things that normal consumer gear is not able to achieve. Yet, there is no real power bump from the new box! So, quiet & efficient. (I know-- too many vars to consider in determining efficiency, but with CPU usage pegged at below 5% most of the time, PSU efficiency does factor in).

Totalmente modular
Se trata de una fuente de alimentación de calidad. Totalmente modular e incluso sus cables son de calidad. Lo único el precio, pero todas las certificaciones y la calidad de la misma lo merecen.
