So, each clip has a product number, but also a different number on the actual clip. Seriously, why is this? Why can't they just pick one stupid number and refer to it in all manuals and everything else? I am tired of giving gobs of money to Yakima every time I buy a different car. Easily 2 grand over 20 years. Next time I will go with Thule, just because I am tried of being annoyed by Yakima for things like this and their poorly written instructions.

Was looking forward to installing these over the weekend after getting home from work, open the box and just see poor quality and lack of supervision on what this company is sending out. Looking closely what I received was very clearly used by someone else for an extensive amount of time due to the wear and tear on this product. The rubber preventing scratching on the car was torn up and worn, the paint was peeling off and chipped. Edges of the plastic bases were scratched and deformed. Next time someone returns your product check the box to see what you’re reselling.

This worked great as the front clip for my 2013 Prius C. The back clip was 179 Base clip. That combination worked great for a roof rack, and Yakima was about the only company I found that made available a roof rack that worked for my car. However, it was quite tricky to put together and needed some adjustments to make it solid.

Bought these to fit on my truck to Haul kayaks. Was a little thrown back at the price of everything needed for a decent truck rack system for two kayaks. Had to buy each Yakima piece separately.

Excellent quality, so much easier to initially fit and mount to your car than the olden day roof racks, thanks to tables with exact measurements on the website and rulers or notches marked on the roof rack.Locks are obscenely overpriced, one star less for that. You should get cheaper matching locks on eBay.

Yakima has there system perfected. It's pricy but it fits great and is very secure. I have no doubt that I will love this system for years.

This worked great on the my 2013 Prius C. Yakima was the only rack that I found would work for my car. I am lucky my husband is very engineering inclined as it wasn't easy to put together and needed some adjustments by a couple of centimeters as the measurements they provided did not work.

I love these cross bars. Used with the Jetstream load bars on my 2015 GTI 5-dr there is no additional noise. I cannot recommend them highly enough, plus they look amazing. They were very easy to install; I disagree with any review stating otherwise. The directions are fine, you just have to follow them.

Appears to be a very well built product. The design allows my Yakima Baseline Towers to fasten to the roof of my vehicle very securely (much better than the previous Q Towers I used in with my previous vehicle). I would have given a 5 star rating except for the fact that my previous Q Towers installed much quicker with no loose parts (clips) to lose or misplace. It's a shame that the best parts of both designs could not have been combined!

Problem was I did not know there was a difference between the base system and my Q-towers. Because of this I can not use these as they won't work for my older Q-towers. I need the Q-7's as per research on the Yakima site.
