Utilitarian - Functional and Practical
This holster fits my needs for a S&W Shield 9mm. Extremely covert, even with tighter fitting T-shirts. It stays in place, even during jogging; does not fall out of holster. Built for concealment, not comfort, and is what I needed. Before purchasing this holster, you need to understand what this holster is and isn't. It's a very simple holster based on the sole purpose of concealment. It's NOT for someone requiring comfort over practical needs. It's NOT eye-candy. It requires someone that knows how to properly grip and unholster with a fast, hard pull - casual/sloppy/lazy people might have an issue. At first, the holster will seem way too tight (b/c it is). Leaving the firearm in the holster will relax the plastic over time and allow smoother, easier draws. You will need to practice with this holster and allow the plastic to conform to the firearm - I do not recommend using this holster as soon as you receive it. (One thing I did was to leave the firearm slightly out-of-seat in the holster for a 24 hour period, in a way that forced the sides of the holster outwards. The sides of the holster needed to expand some. With the (slightly) expanded plastic, it allowed a much easier pull. But be careful and do so at your own risk - you don't want to over-expand. It's better to have too tight retention than too loose. A solid, firm grip goes a long way with this holster.)

Well designed AIWB holster with very low print design, sits very close to the body, and lefty friendly.
After going through 4 different appendix holsters for my shield in the past 6 months I have finally found one I can carry with confidence in! For someone who's left handed with a athletic build, I appreciated the fact that they designed this to be appendix friendly and fully reversible. One suggestion for the the M&P Shield, since it has a shorter barrel is to move the clip up to the higher setting to get the gun down deeper into your pants and provide more leverage preventing the back of the slide and grip from pushing outward. Pros: Very low print design, sits very close to the body, solid retention. Sturdy metal clip is very rigid and keeps the holster secure for consistent draws. Clip placement below the trigger guard and raised off of the holster acts as leverage helping push the grip inward. (think RCS appendix claw) Tuckable - You can tuck a shirt between the clip and the holster with ease Guard goes up enough to protect against slide/frame scratches from metal jeans button (if you clip just to the right of it) Clip has two settings so you can adjust the ride height. FULLY REVERSIBLE for left-handed shooters! Cons: Holster doesn't cover the magazine button, but this is subjective. I actually like it because with this style of holster you can load/clear firearm (outside of your pants of course) while keeping trigger inaccessible. Conclusion: If you're new to carrying and want to try appendix, this is a great and affordable way to get started. I passed over this holster several times over the past few months and have paid dearly for it. I actually like the design so much that I'm ordering one for my M&P9 2.0 and P320 compacts. Will update soon with those reviews.

Great gun lock, not holster
Got this on Amazon. I have 2 other similar problems that work great but thought I would give Q-series a try for my M&P Shield (not an EZ). Q-series fit nicely on the gun, trigger fully protected and the fit for appendix carry is nice. I go to draw my empty gun and it just pulls my pants up. Gun stays lock in the Q-series. I remove all from my waistband and re-read the instructions, no help. I rock the gun forward with left hand while holding holster with right and it finally comes out. Re-insert and with both hands I pull in opposite directions to mimic drawing straight up. The amount of force to draw the gun is way more than is needed to be functional. It’s so secure, it’s useless. I come to the website and go to FAQ, FAQ gives me a drop down but there are no choices. Instructions say type question. I type “draw gun” and it comes back with “No information”. I type 5-6 more questions; one word and full sentences and never got any different results. There are no FAQs. There is no contact information. It will be returned to Amazon and I will get a brand that works.

Stands up to abuse, to a point.
I really like it. It carries well. It conceals well. It is, for me very comfortable to wear. However, I think strength is lacking a bit where the clip mounts to the holster. Mine broke there after a good bit of use and abuse. I wore mine every day for 2.5 months while doing lawncare. I do regularly pick up things, like push mowers, and they press hard into the holster. Overall, I am impressed. It did very well for a budget holster and it took some abuse.

perfect to keep your shield thin as can be
Much better than the useless, short clipdraw clip i bought (the clipdraw for my glock is great, for the shield not at all, much too short). No need for airplane strength tapes or extra/replacement aftermarket parts. Love this holster and adds zero width to my shield. This is especially important because it why i purchased the firearm, to not print while wearing normal summer clothes. This is generally difficult for me to achieve as im six foot, 130 pounds, so nearly everything shows on me. I love that it has adjustable retention and you can wear this with anything and not worry about it going anywhere. Sits with a natural cant that makes drawing no issue. its also no problem with pants/shorts with or without a belt and even works great with basketball shorts granted you tie them securely. (which is what i wear most of the summer) The clip on this is firm and grips much tighter then it may look in the picture (was the only thing i was worried about). Coupled with the j hook style it wont just pull off when you draw. If you dont want to add up to an extra half inch or more with another holster and keep your firearm stock, I highly recommend this holster and trust my life and everyday carry needs with it.

Ok for awhile
I’ve had mine for about a a year and a half. I like the fit with the gun. It slides along my belt, sometimes to an uncomfortable position or at a minimum, not where I expect it to be. Last night I noticed it has split, rendering it unusable. I wouldn’t expect this having not dropped it or forced it in any way.

Is what it is.
This is the perfect execution to a not so well thought out design. This is my first ccw holster and I was figuring where I’d like to carry ( kidney vs small of back) so I can’t compare to other holsters. That being said this holster is designed to clip onto the trigger guard but has no support for the slide in an effort to have a minimalist design. As a result it makes it extremely difficult to holster the weapon. That being said it does hold the weapon quite well once holstered which is the saving grace and downfall because it is also not a smooth of a draw as one would like. It only has the single clip on it which makes it prone to rotation on your waist or belt as you move. I can not recommend this holster and have opted for a edc bag that has a ccw pocket in lieu of a holster for the time being as this holster has left a bad taste in my mouth. It would receive one star but it does secure the weapon quite well and functions perfectly for what it is and what it is is not quite well thought out. The materials seem of high quality and good construction so I can’t give it one star either.

Perfect for my difficult EDC.
My favorite EDC is a S&W Shield in 45. I bought the Performance Center version, which has an extended slide and barrel. There are 93292929439 holsters for the S&W shield, but none of them fit this gun. This holster is PERFECT!!! It holds the gun securely, and it rides comfortably. I will say, after reading several reviews, that the holster does require a bit of break-in to draw smoothly. It has a death grip on the gun at first. Sitting at my desk, holstering and pulling the pistol solved that. One last caveat, I wear at 3-4 o'clock. Re-holstering safely requires me to remove the holster, re-holster the gun, and then slide the works back IWB. This holster is easy to do all that with.
