Rubbermaid TakeAlongs Twist & Seal Food Storage Containers, 2 Cup, 3 Count

I’ve never tested if the bowl is leak proof with the lid secured.These bowls serve three purposes in our home…1. Great bowl for proofing dough2. When in season, we buy several fruits; mango, papaya, cantaloupe, grapes, strawberries, and create an awesome fruit salad, albeit a very large fruit salad. These bowls are perfect to keep the salad in the fridge.3. We use one to store sugar in the pantryI am certain the uses are numerous. These bowls are lightweight yet sturdy.

This has been a bowl size that I've used for some time now. Perfect size to take for large family dinners, church functions, etc. Perfect size for a new batch of chili or soup. Washes well in the dishwasher. Yet not so expensive that if I'm taking a big bowl of homemade something to a sick person I'll just tell them I don't need the bowl back. Not sure WHY Rubbermaid is not stocking this size anymore in the usual stores I normally buy from?

We use these to freeze out home made dog food since we make 5 at a time. Only drawback is they seem to be a bit too pricey.

I really like these containers because they're a good portion size for meal prep and they're pretty sturdy. I put them in the freezer and microwave. I bought these same ones before, but they had the translucent red covers (see through), as what is depicted in all the images on this website, but these did not come with the translucent covers. You'll see from my pics that they came with solid red covers. It's not a huge deal and the quality and function of the containers are still the same, but I just wanted these to match my existing containers that have the translucent red covers. I was disappointed and nowhere on the website does it show solid red covers so they need to update their pics. I like to use these for meal prep to store soup, chili, stews, etc. I like that they're 2.1 cups because I like to measure out 2 cups for a serving size and these containers allow me to do that and still have about 1/2" of space left at the top so it's much neater and easier when covering and storing, especially in the freezer since a lot of foods expand, especially soup. Most containers are 2 cups to the very top of the container and you can't really put 2 cups of soup in these because it would be to the very top and make a mess when freezing or microwaving. If you froze them, filled to the very top, the soup would expand and break the covers. The only other thing that I didn't like, besides the covers not being the translucent red, is the outrageously overpriced cost. They cost over $10 with tax for 5 small containers and Walmart sells these exact ones for $2.49! If I can find them at Walmart, I'll definitely buy them there first, unless the price on here goes under $4.00!

I bought a pack of these years ago at a grocery store and they have been my go to favorites for years until they just recently started to fall apart on me. I have been looking for replacements and couldn't find anything that was the same size and shape so I was happy when I found these. I use them for meal prep- making salads for dinner and they are the perfect size and shape for this.

Matches the older ones. The empty food containers stack well when in storage and fit together with the others in use. Their square shape fits the fridge or freezer more efficiently than round containers. The only con is the lids aren't extremely durable and tend to crack after a few uses. Thats the only reason I made this purchase

Use it daily for work lunches, it is the right size and portion for our daily lunch.

I desperately needed storage containers and these are perfect. The lids stay secured unlike other products I have purchased that you had to beat the lids with a fist to try to secure them. These lids secure easily and stay on keeping everything inside as fresh as the day they were placed in the containers. I have items from Rubbermaid that are over 20 years old and are still good. Will stick with Rubbermaid from now on comfortable in the knowledge that they provide great products.
