HOMCOM39" Modern Lift Top Coffee Table Desk with Hidden Storage Compartment for Living Room, Light Grey Woodgrain

So I'm actually not using this as a coffee table, but instead am using it as a center table for my home theater. Space is limited in NYC so I can't house a regular TV stand as the length would be too long and would block the entry way to the bedrooms. I also have a beastly center speaker with an AV receiver and amp that weighs 140+ pounds... most traditional TV stands in smaller dimensions are simply too tall and/or too cheap.Hence, I ended up utilizing coffee tables of this size as my TV stand. My search was complicated by the fact that I needed clearance in the bottom for my heavy duty AV equipment. I originally had just a standard cheapo $40 coffee table. It was the only one that fit the dimensions I needed. After a year, it started to bow from the weight of my center speaker. It also did not have any storage. It was just a simple table, so all the ugly AV wires from behind were exposed.I looked into hiring a custom furniture maker to get me a high quality center TV stand that fit the exact dimensions I needed. However, the total cost for that would near into the thousands mark. I knew there had to be something out there.Lo and behold, the Amazon algorithmic gods answered my prayers. This randomly popped up in my search. It fit all the dimensions I required to a tee! The only question was... would it be any good?Shipment actually arrived 3 days early via FedEX. The box was a little beat up, but all contents inside were protected and present. The particle boards seems very sturdy and super high quality. They're comparable to iKea's MALM furniture which I have some of in my bedroom. Those I've had for years and are still going strong, so I am hoping this coffee table will be the same.A Phillips screw driver is really the only necessary tool to build the unit. The instructions are very clear and easy to follow. If you're any sort of handyman, this shouldn't take more than an hour to assemble solo. At some point, I'll probably use my hole saw to pass wires in the back so I can utilize the table storage for more AV equipment.If I had a bigger living room, I wouldn't hesitate to purchase a second one and use it as my actual coffee table. The hinge to prop up the table to eating height looks like such a convenient and fun feature to have... but alas, no space for a second table.So in conclusion, I highly recommend this table.

I love this table! It is a great price for the functionality and a wonderful piece of entry level furniture! This has been my new work from home desk during the COVID quarantine.Things to Love:-Easy to put together (about 25 minutes)-Well made and sturdy (fiberboard is heavy stuff)-The rising tabletop and storage is amazing!-Looks niceThings to Consider:-Adjusting the table top is stiff and takes some getting used to (but easy once you learn and it breaks in nicely)-*If you have to move it by yourself a lot* - Table is tough to move because you have to grab it at the bottom because of the moving table top (but you learn how to maneuver it just fine with some practice, if you have 2 people super easy)

This is a great addition to our work from home office. Usually video meeting took place on the comfy couch but holding the laptop in my lap was getting old. This coffee table works great. Somewhat easy to put together, there were a few tight spots that took a little while to screw into, because the space was so small. Very sturdy, great storage in inside and under. I did add corner protectors to the edge of the lift top (to prevent injury) as they were a bit sharp and I do have a tendency to run into things

I bought two of them, and I put them together in about an hour. If you've ever put together IKEA or Walmart furniture, then you are set. Everything went together pretty smoothly without any issues.Flash forward about two weeks, and I was dragging one of them across my floor and caught it on a heat vent and broke one of the legs off. I contacted the seller and asked how to go about purchasing a replacement leg, and they told me that since I had purchased it less than a year ago, they would send me a free replacement! Even though I told them that I broke it. They sent me a replacement top instead of a leg, and when I contacted them to let them know I received the wrong part, they told me to keep it and they sent me the part I needed. Awesome, right?!It gets better...Whilst fixing the broken leg, my clumsy ass broke another leg on the other side! Now, this was totally my fault, and in no way reflects the quality of the furniture. It is made of what looks like particle board, but that's pretty much what bargain price furniture is made of nowadays. Anyways, I let them know that I had broken the other one and that I would totally understand if they charged me for a replacement, this time, but nope! They sent me ANOTHER replacement for free!I have to say, I am EXTREMELY happy with this seller and I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for some handsome, inexpensive furniture.

Did I die trying to put this together as a female living alone during quarantine? No, but almost felt like I did. This table is exactly what I needed/wanted. Multifunctional, for a small studio space. Storage underneath and lifts up so I can watch tv and eat, or work from on my laptop. Value is great.Assembly? 2hrs by myself. Now granted I hate assembly as a whole, but I can do it. This is a purely diagram based manual that can be overwhelming to look at but every piece came labeled so I was very thankful for that. It turned out just fine in the end. It's slimmer than an IKEA Lack coffee table (above) but it is significantly heavier. It is beautiful and I'm very happy with this table but I will hopefully never have to assemble one by myself again. Also good to know is that it feels better if you do weigh down the storage area with something heavier so when you lift the top, there's some tension at the bottom. It can close fast, so fingers could get caught if you're not careful (has not happened to me). Love it and recommend if you need storage or have a smaller space!

I love this coffee table! My only complaint was the instructions were a bit confusing and there was some guess work involved. Overall very happy though. It's big and sturdy. Looks great

If you value your money, I recommend avoiding this table. The quality is disappointing, and the instruction manual is unhelpful. The drawer is misaligned, and its base is too thin to support any weight, making it impractical for storage.
