In 1949, Mr. Kihachiro Onitsuka began his athletic footwear company (Onitsuka Co., Ltd.) by manufacturing basketball shoes out of his living room in Kobe, Japan. He chose the name ASICS for his company in 1977, based on a famous Latin phrase "Anima Sana In Corpore Sano," which, when translated, expresses the ancient ideal of "A Sound Mind in a Sound Body." Taking the acronym of this phrase, ASICS was founded on the belief that the best way to create a healthy and happy lifestyle is to promote total health and fitness. Today, ASICS offers a full line of performance-driven athletic shoes and technical active sports apparel and accessories dedicated to bringing harmony to the body and soul.

Great boot
On size, I'm a size 13 and I own a pair of soft ground ASICS rugby boots in size 13 that fits like a dream, so I was a little surprised when I tried this pair on and noted how snug they were. However, let me clear the air by saying that now that I've worn them for two weeks at practice and two tournaments, the fit is perfect. It's not that they're tight per se, it's just that they fit your foot like you would expect a fitted glove to wrap around your fingers. They don't slide around even when wet which meant zero blisters where usually I would have expected a ton of them. Plus, the cushioning in the sole is super comfortable. The outer material is slick-looking, and gets good grip on the ball even when wet. Plus, as it was the main reason that I purchased these, the grip on natural turf is outstanding. A huge fan of these. I don't think I'll stray from ASICS boots anytime soon. If I had to nitpick, I'd say the laces seem like they could be more durable, but a very minor concern.

ASICS Solved My Son's Severs Disease
My son plays sports year round, and a few years ago he came down with "severs disease". The pain and inflammation was so severe that he landed in a walking boot. After trying a variety of different shoes, therapies, and orthotics, not until we switched to the Asics brand did the pain finally go away. This Spring he played both soccer and baseball at the same time without any pain.... (6 day a week, some days both sports) The raised heel in these cleats seems to provide the needed relief.Don't spend two years like we did chasing all the options. ASICS cleats + orthotics did the trick for our son... hopefully this review might help your kid as well.

Quality not good
Over glued or less glued on edges. Ugh this foot too tight. Has broken stitches

Great shoes
I have always worn the same size in Asics running shoes; these cleats were no different. Yes, they fit tight, as they should. I haven't had any problems or blisters with multiple 2+ hour pick up games. I don't notice the slight heal lift at all, so I have no input on that. I would recommend these cleats to anyone.

Great shoe
I don't use these myself, but my son loves them. Especially that most of the other guys don't wear Asics. And none of them have red shoes!Got these for an amazing price and he could not be happier with them.

A tough like.
Wait no more, after a few weeks and a couple initial uses, the only sk review ever, anywhere. Note this shoe seems to be a direct replica of the other flashes, except having the different toe vamp leather stuff. There are 3 issues that NEED to be addressed.1) DONT BELIEVE the suggestions by joint-affiliated shallow companies ill refer to as 'eastlocker' who tread just far enough to give a look, providing incomplete sizing recommendations. They tell you, this shoe is 1 1/2 sizes small. WELL THEYRE IGNORANT. And by the way these are soccer cleats, THEYRE SUPPOSED to fit..snug. This is like having half a brain, providing such vague service. I would MAYBE suggest normal sizing. Not over.2) On both initial uses I could feel soreness in my heel, under my ankle of the shoe I add extra support in. This, in addition to the already raised heel. I update the review noting a recent third use playing in game, playing carefree instead of careful, with aggressive movement, and I felt the pressure under my ankle in these cleats. This raised heel design...Im not instantly supporting for this use. But they do make for dynamic movement. In my opinion this takes away from ankle mobility/flexion.This new year's heel gradient raise idea. In my opinion, the raised heel takes feel away, especially in striking. I initially didnt feel a smooth step for my style. Besides this broadly included heel gradient stuff, I run with my ENTIRE FOOT. Im not so sure about the idea.I played an indoor match and next day lengthy run around, The top of my foot, sore for a few days. Ok. But I prefer the half size small TRXs I found at an outlet that left my pinky..nail bloody. I struck great with those, like an expert.Aside from these gripes I went with the amateur sizing confusion up a whole size to 15...and found a generous thumb width of room throughout the end of the forefoot. I like my my shoes snug, if they fit well, like my running shoes. Conclusion, its.a great looking shoe, you might like the heel raise. Its a tough, though thinner midlight shoe with double stitching in select areas throughout most of the shoe. Good quality. Fits average sizing.

Add 1/2 size for true fit.
Toebox is a little more narrow than normal, even compared to other ASICS models. Function and performance is as good as expected. Purchased two pairs.
