Q: What type of food did this keep warm for 4+ hours? Wondering if it would keep meatballs or chicken nuggets warm for my daughters lunches.

In my experience 2+ hours. I make pasta for the kid's school lunch. Before packing the lunch, I use boiling water to heat up these lunchboxes. Pasta is slightly warm after 4 hours. The lids are plastic so they lose a lot of heat. I suggest packing this lunch box in an insulated layer to extend the warmth. Overall, I am happy with the purchase.
