If you've been waiting for home automation to mature, the time is now.
UPDATE 5:These switches have been performing great since the update! My only complaint would be sometimes there is a significant delay between the switch being operated turned on manually and the new state appearing in homekit. However, I’m still able to control it just fine. I recommend these for anyone that is ready to automate their lighting.UPDATE 4:After the 1.4.13 firmware update, these switches work great! I can finally recommend them.UPDATE 3:The dimmer version can be reset without using the breaker by pulling the dimmer bar part way out of the switch. Use a fingernail and gently pull from the bottom.Unfortunately, these switches continue to be unreliable and rarely all work at the same time. Siri is always reminding me that some HomeKit devices have failed to respond.I'm surprised that Leviton hasn't attempted a firmware update to resolve these issues. After spending thousands of dollars and hours of time upgrading my home network, and even installing a whole house surge protector, I'm not sure what else I can try to make these switches work. Even the switches with near perfect wifi signal will occasionally be unresponsive in HomeKit.UPDATE 2: Here's what I've found to make these more reliable. I have not done a scientific test on each element or setting, but this is the configuration I am running with better results:A) Use Siri - avoid the Home app. The switches will regularly show as Updating or No Response in the Home app. However, when controlling them via Siri, they seem to respond much more reliably.B) If you have 2.4 ghz interference, try running your network as 5ghz only. The switches WILL connect to 5ghz. I am running multiple access points on separate, un-congested 5 ghz channels with the same SSID. The APs are hardwired back to the router - I am not using a range extender repeater. Note that 5ghz has less range and wall penetration so you will need to take that into account when laying out your network.C) I have a 4th generation Apple TV configured for HomeKit. It is hardwired to the network and set to never sleep.D) I am not currently running IGMP Snooping multicast optimization on my networking gear. I've read conflicting reports on it regarding HomeKit's multicast so I left it off.E) I got a new iPhone. It is possible "battery-gate" was affecting HomeKit speed.UPDATE 1: After using these for a couple months, I can no longer recommend them. I own 7 and a few times a week at least one of them will not respond. Sometimes I will be able to reboot it and make it active by holding the top button for seven seconds, but other times this will cause the switch to go into full factory reset and I have to reconfigure it: annoying.I've tried reconfiguring my hard wired Apple 802.11ac wireless access points to be on uncrowded frequencies. I upgraded to the latest iOS beta. I even replaced my ethernet network switch. Sadly, it is these Leviton switches that are the problem. If these worked more reliably, I was going to do my whole house as well as other family members. Maybe Leviton can save these with a firmware update? Until then, I cannot buy more and neither should you.------Great hardware and software that works as advertised. The switch is easy to install and configure and I recommend it to everyone who is interested in home automation. It looks and feels like a normal switch, which is important to me. I don't need my home to look like the cockpit of an airplane which some of the competing switches do with their design. The only difference you may notice from a normal switch is:1. there is an optional on-switch LED you can configure to represent the switch state.2. The internal power relay makes a noticeable but temporary click sound when the switch is remotely controlled.3. The physical rocker doesn't stay in a specific position. The top and bottom of the rocker are actually buttons. When you press one it makes a quiet click, turns the light on or off depending on which button you pressed, and the rocker returns to the neutral position.I like how security is a central focus of HomeKit so I don't have to worry about these switches being hacked and joining a botnet. Each manufacturer must include special hardware and software that meets Apple's security specifications. The connections are end-to-end encrypted so that even Apple cannot control your hardware. This is the main reason I went with HomeKit versus competing home automation platforms.Initially I had some trouble where switches would occasionally not respond. However, I reconfigured my wireless network and reliability improved.I hope Leviton has success with these switches and creates other HomeKit products, like outlets.

Get The Dimmer Not Plain Switch / Works with Apple HomeKit / 3-Way Wiring Can Prove Difficult
2021 Update: These switches are very frustrating in that they are often unable to self-heal. If your wifi goes down or is restarted, or your power goes out, these switches cannot re-connect properly and will require a hard switch reset (pull small plastic lever out, push back in). So if you are away from a home and that happens, you're out of luck until you are physically in the building again. Would not recommend this product based on that.---First off, there are different Leviton switches, but you can only review one of them on Amazon. So I combined my reviews for the dimmer and switch here.- - - - - - - - - - -Leviton DH6HD-1BZ: The Smart DimmerI have two of these running in an Apple HomeKit environment with a mesh WIFI. They have been mostly reliable with some restarts needed.Installation is slightly more difficult because the switch requires four wires in total: HOT, NEUTRAL, LOAD and GROUND. Many homeowners will only find three wires and will need to find a NEUTRAL to connect with. That aside, the switches showed up in HomeKit after installing, there was an update installed through the Leviton APP, and so far they've shown up, operated on a schedule, dimmed, all as expected.I chose the Leviton because it didn't require a hub. I also like that the switch operates just like a normal switch and then HomeKit shows the ON/OFF/Dim info if the switch is operated manually. I also like that if the power goes out, when power is restored, I can dictate the lights to OFF instead of at 100% after a power outage.- - - - - - - - - - -Leviton DH15S-1BZ: The Smart Plain Switch, No DimmingPurchased this switch to control some garage lights. They don't need to be dimmed so I went for the plain switch. Ended up returning because the on/off CLICK the switch makes is rather loud whereas the dimmer makes no sound and only costs a few bucks more.I'd planned on working with the 3-way setup that was there but learned that you have to have really specific wiring and it would've required the main switch (wifi range a concern) to be located in the garage, which I didn't want. I opted to cap off the garage 3-way switch location, creating a single switch location in the home with LINE, NEUTRAL, LOAD and GROUND wires. After installation, the switch operated manually on/off as it should, and it had the blinking green LED. There were issues adding the device to HomeKit and the Leviton APP.I was able to add the device just once, I was then prompted that the device needed a firmware update, the Leviton APP informed me the update failed, and after that, after many resets, blinking green light, the device was never again able to be added in HomeKit or the Leviton APP. It seems the firmware update fail bricked the switch. I did nothing out of the ordinary, just pressed YES when the Leviton APP said it wanted to update the device.I've been using HomeKit devices for a number of years now. Phillips Hue mainly. But this Leviton experience shows again that these things are squirrelly but improving over time. If the switch operates as it should manually, and it showed up in the Add Accessory section, then it's something wrong with either the device hardware or software. All the wiring is 100% right – it was double tested to be sure.I like that the Leviton switches don't require a hub – but if a hub system was more robust and just plain worked, I'd gladly use a hub.Perhaps it would've been better if Apple manufactured HomeKit accessories themselves. These 3rd party companies complain because of the hoops they have to jump through to qualify as a HomeKit enabled device. But I don't think they are vetted enough based on my experience. Hard to believe it's this difficult to manufacture the simplest of things, a switch, and have it work properly and reliably. Leviton needs to put more effort into quality control and real world usability testing. When these things work, it's great. But snags can continues to be a major source of hassle and frustration.

Excellent Smart Switch... No hub... install is a breeze.
Okay, here's the deal. These switches are GREAT. They do exactly what they are meant to do which is work light a light switch and pair with Homekit. Done and Done. The simplicity of these switches and the lack of a hub make them easy-peze to get setup and working with your Homekit products almost instantly.Installation - My previous light switch that I was replacing only had a white and a black white going to it. Funny enough, in order to get this switch wired properly, I had to ADD wires (neutral and another black). So be forewarned; you may have to do some electrical tinkering here. It really wasn't a big deal but it did take some time, and I wasn't prepared for it initially. The switch will let you know if you've wired it wrong by showing a solid GREEN light, if you've wired it half right - you'll get a blinking GREEN but won't be able to pair it. If you wire it completely right you'll get a blinking GREEN and you'll finally be able to pair it ... Ask me how I know ;)Pairing is simple as opening up your 'Home' app on your iOS device and adding an accessory. You simply scan the included code sticker and within a few seconds it's paired and up and running. This switch is the one to get versus the 'other guys,' due to the simple fact that you don't need a hub. That's makes all the difference here. I gave it a four stars as the cost of these switches are about $10-15 more than they should be. I think Leviton will see wide-spread adoption if they lower the price a bit AND/OR make a value pack (5 for $180) or something similar.Update after 18 months:Still working flawlessly. I used them on a timer through HomeKit and I haven’t had a single issue.

Decepción
Confíe en la marca pero después de instalarlo, solo funcionó por mediodía la conexión con la app.Después solo puede usarse como un interruptor común y corriente.Ya no puedo prender o apagar el interruptor mediante la app de Leviton...
