Clear and helpful book by professionals
I haven't read it all yet but think it will be very helpful in understanding my gut problems. It is easy to understand and appears to cover this complicated subject very comprehensively. The diet plans and informed advice are helpful and not too rigid and restrictive. Written by well qualified professionals with vast experience in this field.

A must have for those looking to improve their gut health!
Having had various issues with my stomach over the years I am really impressed with this book. It is incredibly detailed and has really given me an insight into where I might have been going wrong with my diet. With that said it's not overwhelming or dictating at all. I have never enjoyed things like probiotic drinks etc so this has just opened up so many other options to me. It's nice to have advice about the whole of your gut health rather than just 'feed the good bacteria!' The meal plan is a really helpful starting point and the recipes look delicious - Keralan Chicken Curry yum! I'm looking forward to creating them with my 5 year old and get him involved too. I would highly recommend this book to those with IBS, any stomach problems that are troubling you or even just those who are interested in good gut health.

Comprehensive Guide to IBS
Very comprehensive coverage of a topic that has exploded in popularity and awareness among women,The technical information is something to dip into when needed rather than read through in one sitting but serves as a useful reference guide for anyone who has questions over the detail.Yes, most of the material in this book is common sense to anyone who suffers from IBS or other gut problems and the authors do stress that there is no magic cure - each person must evaluate what works for them through testing out the recommended diet.I personally found the points system in the diet difficult to follow and way too complex, but others may appreciate the meal plans and shopping lists.

Essential read for digestive problems
Great information and advice written in a clear and easy to understand way. The book covers lots of digestive problems including IBS, hormones and bloating so you can read the parts and advice most relevant to you. The meal plan and points system are helpful and recipes use ingredients that are available in most supermarkets so you don’t have to spend lots of time searching for them. The breakfast bar recipe is really nice and can be made in advance for the days when you don’t have much time in the morning.

Clear guidance on tackling & understanding IBS
Very well written, much more help and advice than my GP can give me. There’s a whole chapter on bloating that a previous reviewer said was a subject neglected. And many other aspects of Gut problems are explained you can pick & choose those relevant. I’d like to see a flat gut diet book next as the diet itself will be challenging for me as a mum of 4 fussy eaters, I need more recipe ideas.

Informative and actionable
I gifted this book to a friend after seeing that it combines the knowledge and advice of a gastroenterologist AND a dietitian, both of whom have years of experience working with IBS sufferers. It's very informative and provides actionable steps to manage IBS including a meal plan and lots of recipes - I tried the Kerelan chicken curry recipe myself and will be making it again!
