Q: i already have a ground spike in my garden will this dryer fit? are they generic size?

Hello. The dryer comes with a free 50mm spike. The 50mm is the internal diameter. I have got a "universal" spike which comes with 5 different collars to fit most dryers (£5.00 in ALDI - brilliant!). So cannot answer your question. I suggest that you remove your current dryer and measure the internal diameter of your spike. If it's 50mm, you are in business otherwise you replace yours by the Minky one. John

Q: what is the diameter of the rotary pole.

45mm it comes with some plastic tubing which fitted snuggly into the ground spike around the outside of the pole, I would recommend concreting it in if you have soft ground. It has stayed up through all of the winds we've had to date. Also I would recommend getting the brabantia cover for it because it has really impressed me for its hardiness and ease to use, also it looks good too! (I am a gardener and have seen a lot of rubbish ones around). I hope this has helped.

Q: can you purchase the plastic tube as mine is missing hence the price i paid £30 instead of £90

I managed to break the holding ring that the pole goes into but could not find one anywhere. I found that sainsbury do a kit for washing airers which depending on what one you need comes with the plastic pole. I paid about £7.00.

Q: Can you buy the individual line fasteners/crimps?

I am not sure, it was not as sturdy as I expected it to be so if you have loads of washing on it I am not sure how it would do, there is three in my family and not loads of washing but it does not seem to be constructed strongly round the arms of it
