A tough and semi hard steel that got heat treated and carbide inserts silver soldered to the teeth. I can recognized good material, fit,and finish, when I see it and hold it in my hands. Roxon has a quality that they should be very proud of. Not the typical product from China, they make beautiful, quality products that are very useful and practical too. This knife spoon and fork fold compactly and fit together with magnets to hold them together as a unit. They are stamped from stainless steel, polished to a high shine, with no sharp edges, except for the knife, which is wicked sharp, from the factory. It's called a camp set, and can certainly be used on a camping trip, but I think that it would be just as handy in a lunch box, or pocket to enjoy a meal or snack on the job or backyard bbq. I'm very pleased with this compact set of stainlessware and reccomend it, even as a gift for the special person who will certainly appreciate it for it's quality and convenience.
