Suggestion for application of tape
I just got these and followed the directions to wash around mouth, etc. before applying. I did that. Then I put the tape on, decided I hadn't placed it where it was comfortable so decided to take it off and adjust it. When I tried to remove it, it felt like my skin was being ripped off. It really hurt! The next night I was hesitant so I put one on my arm to see if it would do the same thing in the morning when I removed it. It was fine, so I put it on my mouth last night...without the recommended washing to remove skin oil, etc. It stayed on very well all night and came off easily and without pain this morning. And it worked as it was supposed to all night. No dry mouth. I think I will be happy with it when I get more used to having it on all night, but this is just a heads up not to remove the tape moments after applying it like I did. I felt like I had lost a layer of skin.

So glad I found this!
Mouth taping was casually mentioned during a neurofeedback consultation I had about a month ago. I wondered if something so low-tech, easy, and inexpensive could make a difference with my quality of sleep. How had I never heard of it before?! Since then, I have tried two kinds of mouth tape or strips. Mouth Tape by Linhealth is by far the better of the two. The other brand I ordered arrived sooner though, in time for me to take on a trip I was going on in a couple of days, so I started with that one. It helped and I could see that the concept had value. However, Mouth Tape was waiting for me when I returned home. The first time I used it, I was hooked. It is easier to use, stays on better, is more comfortable, and doesn't get icky with saliva during the night like the other one that covered my whole mouth. And it just looks better. Yes, a little vain I know but, as a woman, I like to think I'm cute even when I'm asleep, you know, like the women in movies. And, boy oh boy, did I sleep well that night and every night since! Like a baby? Like a rock? Well, like whatever is supposed to sleep deeply, peacefully, and wake up rested. As a veteran with PTSD, I have dealt with sleep issues for years. The sleep study I did at the VA revealed that I stop breathing 23 times per hour. Also, dear reader, WHEREVER you live, you've probably heard me snoring! It is just that loud, so I've been told. Nostril breathing instead of mouth breathing provides innumerable health benefits that I won’t go into here, but there are some great Youtube videos about it. Now that my mouth is no longer hanging open, drooling, and making freight train noises, all so very attractive and sexy (NOT!), I can actually count on getting a good night’s sleep. And, strange thing, I am not getting up as many times to go to the bathroom at night. When I told my sister, who is a Naturopathic doctor, about that, she said it is because my adrenals aren’t being stressed as much by the apnea, mouth breathing, and snoring. I have no idea if that is true, all I know is that I am loving that very positive side-affect. Consistency is key, so I keep my Mouth Tape right beside me on the nightstand and make sure that putting one on is the last thing I do before turning out the light. Well, that’s my story and I’m sticking to it. Get it?! Sticking to it! See how witty I can be when I’m rested? Wishing you all a restful, wonderful night’s sleep. You deserve it.

Can be helpful
Went ahead and purchased these even though there are so many negative comments about the product scattered throughout the reviews. First of all, after the first night I did not find them uncomfortable and even then it was just something to get used to not discomfort. The thing is for me they work as long as they are positioned correctly and my lips are firmly together when I put the tape on. If my lips can open even little cracks on the side, they will. And just that small amount of air will cause snoring. But it has lessened it and I think once I get the application down they will work the majority of the time. They don't cause any disruption to my sleep actually rather I sleep longer periods of time straight through the night with them. The adhesive is really good as long as you do what they say make sure that your mouth and lips and area above and below are clean. You can't have any type of oiliness or the adhesion isn't going to work. And then surprisingly, when I removed them in the morning it isn't painful. It's almost baffling how they can grip so well and yet do not feel even the pull of a Band-Aid to take off. So I would definitely recommend.

Actually works!
I saw someone in my socials using mouth tape (I didn’t even m own such a thing existed tbh). My first thought was “that’s fantastic!” and I order this product. Was hoping it would prevent me from snoring when I fall asleep on my back. Also, i was dealing with dry mouth from mouth breathing in my sleep. But my second thought was “there’s no way I will ever EVER be able to sleep with my mouth taped shut!” First because that sounds horrible and second because the last thing I do before I go to bed is slather on a ton of lip balm. Because I had already ordered these, I figured I would give it a try. Surprisingly, they were both usable with lip balm and not terribly noticeable after application. There is enough adhesive above and below the lip to keep it functional. I was surprisingly unbothered by the feel and didn’t notice it much once I got a little used to it. If I wake up in the night and shift around, I’ll usually pull it off. Because I often drink water in the night, I now keep a cup with a straw handy instead of a water bottle. Works for me!

Good overall
Tape did work for me , my mouth was not dry so I had a better sleep, unfortunately my upper lip had a reaction with the tape, which is a bummer because I was able to sleep good all night after all. I will keep the take for trips not for everyday use.

Great product! Worked well for me!
I was curious if these strips would hold up all night and they DID!! No falling off or sliding. It doesn’t hurt to remove them and they were comfortable to sleep in! I would recommend this product.
