Q: is this heavy stainless steel or the light stainless steel?

It's heavy. That said, I'd also mention that it is very difficult to use because it's large and somewhat hard to cut. It works on fingernails, but I have other cutters for that. I wanted this one for my thick toenails, but sometimes when I try to cut them, it slips off. Also sometimes because I'm not all that strong (I'm old), it cuts off at a weird angle or cuts part-way across and then slips off.
