CTEK 40-006 Mounting Bracket for Chargers, 3.8 - 5.0 A - Black & 56-915 Bumper, Silicone Rubber Protection, Compatible 3.6-MXS 5.0 and CT5 Series

Firstly let’s get the negative out of the way... what an incredibly expensive piece of plastic!That aside, it fits the CTEK BMW Charger perfectly, and is a really neat solution for wall mounting your car battery charger/maintainer especially if you have a vehicle that’s used infrequently and needs regular charging.

It’s over-priced for a piece of plastic. Holds my MX5 charger securely. The charger clicked into place. You can attach your crocodile clips to the bottom. It comes with decent wall plugs and screws. No mention of drill bit size as there are no instructions with the item. I used a 6mm bit if I recall. The top part of the bracket where there is a hook shape is unsightly and could be designed to break off cleanly. There is no cable tidy option. Although in fairness you could probably use flexible wire ties. Perhaps they assumed your charger would not be in the holder when not in use? It’s made well overall and looks okay. I needed somewhere to hold the charger between the car and the wall. Does the job and avoids me having to stretch cable.

An expensive alternative to a rusty nail, if you want to make your garage "look" posh then this is the way to go, as I have several cTec chargers "they are brilliant" I wondered if hanging them from a dedicated hanger would make a difference, it didn't, so back to the rusty trusty nails for me.

I bought this to fit my Porsche ‘charge o mat’ which is made for Porsche by CTEK. Unfortunately it doesn’t quite fit as the Porsche-branded unit is a few mm bigger than the CTEK ones.I’ve kept it because it still ‘sort of’ fits and the charger is safer in it than loose on the garage floor.The item itself is good, reasonably solid and comes with the fixings required to attach to a hard wall. As others have said, it’s quite expensive for what it is.

Does the job at holding the unit, but very expensive for what it is & if I had know would have just mounted the unit to the wall as it has holes in the unit for this.

Fixed it to Garage Wall and does prevent it falling on the floor. I also have the Rubber protection which i had to remove prior to clicking the charger into place. you can not use both items at the same time. I think for what it is it is a little pricey

Useful charger holder. I screwed it to my garage wall (it can also be hung on a hook or nail). I should have used my own screws as the ones supplied are too soft and break easily. Expensive for a piece of moulded plastic. I will just screw my second charger directly on to the wall!

This did the job, not very well but adequately and at a high cost for a small piece of moulded plastic.
