Q: How long is the charcoal fabric activated? For how long will it keep smells contained before it loses its effects?

That’s a tough question to answer. It’s like saying how long is a piece of string. Lol. It depends on what your storing in it and how often. I have been using mine for 3 yrs and I haven’t had to use a hair dryer to heat the internals so it off-gasses and trapped odor compounds yet. Heating the inside with a hair dryer will restore it to like new conditions for odor absorption but at a certain point the effectiveness of the activated carbon fiber fabric will feminism but my guess is 5 years. Sorry for not being able to offer a straight answer.
