An ideal gift for someone to make art and crafts with.

One of our kids is still preoccupied with loom bands, there’s obviously something relaxing and a little bit cathartic about it and loom bands keep appearing all over the house. We don’t mind and there are some nicely creative and crafty patterns coming out of it, not just endless repetitive loops. On that basis this set has gone down very well, with a hefty stock of elastic bands in a mixture of familiar and just-slightly-different colours which allows the productivity to keep on going until it goes out of favour.The quality of the bands seems acceptable, and I’m reassured that this isn’t a particularly fragile or snappy set of bands.As a box for a tenner though, I don’t think it’s great value. You can get similarly sized or only slightly smaller boxes in pound shops and other discount stores, and there’s not much this box offers that they don’t.I know that loom bands won’t be considered high art, but even so, the specific accessories included in this box do seem to be tat, leftover novelty bits of plastic with no real design consistency and not much appeal, and childish even by the standards of kids who are into making loom bands.I think the value is fairly poor at time of writing, and the special bits and pieces in this set don’t add as much to the loom band adventure as I’d hoped. But the bright look on my kid’s face as this got unboxed, and the fact that happy look is continuing as it gets more and more use, means I’m going to give it four stars.

It’s nice and easy to use. The kit comes with everything you need to build loom bracelets. I would say children from 6 to 8 are the target for this. My 5 year old was able to build a bracelet but lost patience about half way through. Older children might be past it and on to more complex stuff. The outer package shows building little animals but the instructions don’t mention it so I have no idea how you would do that. I’m not too keen on the s clip for fastening the ends together but it seems to work OK. Not all that secure. I also had a few broken letter beads which were a bit sharp. Not too dangerous but I was keen that I fished them out before letting my son play with this.

I ordered these for my daughter as she loves making loom bands. She has made all her friends bracelets out of this set. It comes with everything you need to make a wide range of things from bookmarks, bracelets, necklaces etc. There are little keyrings you can attach to your creations which are super cute. I think this would make a perfect birthday/Christmas present also. This set is good value for money and very easy to use.

Perfect for beginners and ideal gift. There is a really good selection of bands and beads for making lots of bracelets. Our daughter loves loom bands and can spend ages making us all bracelets. Bands are very good quality with a perfect storage box to keep everything together.Highly recommended
