Nespresso CitiZ Original Espresso Machine by De'Longhi, White

Bought this coffee maker after having a poor experience with the purchase of a different brand. We weren't excited about it as we weren't fond of the pod idea, but now that we have it, it is almost perfect. Still wish the pods weren't a necessity, but the size of this and the functionality fit our needs. We use it on our RV and it easily fits in a cabinet while traveling and doesn't take up a lot of counter space when it is out. Holds a good amount of water so you don't have to refill all the time and it makes a delicious cup of coffee.

When I first ordered this, it arrived broken (it wouldn’t even put out water) but after contacting the seller, they provided a replacement and that one works just great! It’s quick and compact and easy to use. Highly recommend in place of the bulkier nespresso models.

This simple little machine looks elegant, takes up little space, works well for the office or home, and makes a decent cup of espresso or lungo with a nice crema on top. While I’m still trying the different flavor pods, I’ve found two on the intense profile I like. It’s a step up in quality and flavor from the Kuerig brand machine and coffee pods. The Nespresso pods are more difficult to buy but they ship pretty quick from their website to your door.

Less messy and more capacity for both water and expelled pods than my original older nespresso maker! Very happy with the brew in either oz size option. Hot, but not burned tasting.

This machine makes perfect tasting coffee!And it very simple to operate. Some reviews complain about the temperature but some previous machines I've owned came out to hot and I had to wait to drink. This machine makes the temperature so perfect you can drink it as soon as it comes out. Take it fast like Italian espresso is meant!! Can not reccomend this machine more!!!

So, I bought this for my father who was visiting me from Ireland and unlike the rest of us Irish, he likes his coffee more than his deal. This was a hit with him upon his arrival.1) Easy to set up, just fill the water reservoir and pop the pod in.2) Directions in the manual were pretty straight forward on how to make the different varieties or versions of coffee, with just three buttons to press to get it going.3) Pretty fast at getting you your coffee.The only minor downside was the size of the water reservoir. I bit bigger would be nice, in terms of having to refill it but given the need to keep a small footprint on the countertop, not sure there is much that can be done here.Overall given the price and its features, I would recommend it especially compared to the way more expensive options out there.

Simple to use. Makes delicious espresso and “lungo” shots (basically double the size of an espresso, or about half the size of a standard coffee cup). I generally use 2 lungo shots (using 2 pods), but my wife usually does 1 lungo shot plus an extra espresso shot (using the same pod, for a weaker flavor).I really like that the pods are recyclable.

This is my second nespresso machine and I love it. My first machine kept getting a vapor lock after being drained or running out of water and it made me nuts. I looked for a replacement that uses original pods as I had so many left. This one works and so far we haven't had that issue. I like the two shelf heights, and it holds a good amount of water and used espresso capsules. I also appreciate that the shelves are metal and not plastic like my old machine.

A good choice for those looking for a quick coffee at the touch of a button. That said, even using Nespresso pods, you cannot replicate espresso bar quality coffee. Reusable pods are a good sustainable option but you have to do a fair bit of experimentation to get the right coffee, grind size and weight, and filling pods somewhat defies the touch-of-a-button idea. I won't be using this machine much.
