Not what you’re seeing
The blade does not match the blade seen in the photos of the item (or even that in the customer reviews). The blade received is an extendable blade made of three sections that slide through one another. The blade in every image is a solid blade. The hilt is as pictured, but that’s all.

Had to reset
Product is great son loves it. After first recharge it wouldn’t turn back on. I followed manufacturer directions to get it restarted but didn’t work. Good ole you tube got it going again. Had to take battery out put it on the charger and then take it off charger and put battery back. Like a reset I guess and it worked. Got it to turn back on.

Have purchased 3 "inexpensive" dueling lightsabers, this one is going back
Have purchased 3 of these "cheap/inexpensive" chinese lightsabers, gearing up for a trip to Galaxy's edge with my kids next month. The other two have been impressive for the money, but unfortunately this one is getting returned. Certainly expect there to be some tradeoffs in terms of features at this price point, and it's not completely without it's merit. 1st got a Kybers RGB. It's a good size, thinner blade for my small kids. Not advertised to have smooth swing, and certainly doesn't, yet it's sounds aren't too bad really. Makes a continuous hum, and generally responds to swinging with a lightsabery swoosh sound. 2nd got a more expensive "custom saber store" advertised smooth swing saber that had more detail, mix of black and silver, looked liked a more purpose intended lightsaber hilt as opposed to a monochromatic flashlight handle like this or the kybers. It's smooth swing was really good and responsive. Biggest gripe about it is that the flash on clash isn't very responsive. This Adawlert saber was bought after seeing several positive youtube reviews, and I got the apparently more updated USB C charging option, which may be different than the youtube reviews. The flash on clash responsiveness is great, much better than the more expensive saber, but the reason it's going back is that it was advertised as "smooth swing", but compared to my more expensive saber where the smooth swing is really responsive, on this one, it's not responsive at all. Most of the time doesn't respond to the actual swing, but will then start making random swooshing noises while it's sitting relatively still. Annoying to the point of it being better with the sound just turned off to not be a weird distraction. In these things, the light from the saber and the sound to go along with it really makes for the effect of it feeling like a "real" lightsaber, and unfortunately the unresponsive distracting sound just made it a no go for me.
