The entire system seems very solid and well built. Cameras are metallic and sturdy. The entire system arrived as promised. Cameras (6), switch, NVR recorder, cables and mouse to control the monitor functions. The power over ethernet PoE type of system definitely made the installation very simple. After helping install my girlfriends security camera which has two separate cables, one for video and one for power the PoE is the way to go. I a researcher by nature. Before buying anything I have to spend time reading and evaluating purchases. GW was the one which I ultimately purchased for its higher than average customer reviews. Overall I am very happy with my purchase. Especially since I had a question which was very quickly addressed by customer support. I plan on expanding my security by two more cameras.

Great system. Responsive, timely customer service. Awesome quality and easy install. I have a great recommendation for installer in the DFW metroplex. I'm deducting a star because I should've ordered the system with 8 cameras, as now I have to find 2 more. Company was helpful when we had a few questions on how to get it viewable via cell phone. No complaints at all, and awesome quality! Looking for 2 more cameras, but you should just get the 8 camera system from the outset!

Good quality, easy to install, great customer service. Two of the cameras are failing, IR lights not working after two years or are changing to solid purple. Adjustments didn't help. Sent message to GW tech support with all information. Seems like cameras that are protected from elements should last longer. Competitors cameras are going strong and are in use longer under same conditions. Maybe firmware update needed???

It doesn't record when I try to play back videos it says no hard disk

The system does not have the mask or privacy wall function active. In the product description they do not inform that this camera system does not have this function. The customer service is terrible, the technicians don't know how to fix the problem while telling me that all their systems have the privacy mask or wall feature, but they don't know what is wrong with my system. They also do not provide me with any solution such as changing the DVR. During the day the system is of great quality but at night the images are horrible, you can hardly see it, the light reflects too much on its lens. The top cover does not slide, which does not allow better protection of the lens from the reflection of light and rain. This is the worst purchase I've ever made. I suggest to all buyers that they evaluate other brands and do not buy this defective system since they will never solve the problems and you will lose your money. UPDATE: April 3, 2023 To this date, the customer service of GW Security (Camstar Technology) are unable to provide me a solution. Refuses to replace unit. They are irresponsible. Employee John is a compulsive liar and complicit in GW Security's fraud by selling defective equipment, allowing more than 30 days to spend putting you on duty for service, he does it intentionally so the time to claim Amazon expires and you lose your money. GW Security ignores the Better Business Bureau and its intervention on behalf of consumers. Buy from other sellers and other brand of surveillance system, GW is a fraud.

The installation was easy to manage. The vision during day time is great to view, but at night is not to clear because we do not have much light around the house. So far the cameras are working fine. I do recommend this product.

Very complicated installation hardware and software. Customer service does not exist. Cameras last about 2 years. I wasted my money and risked my security.
