This case checks all of my boxes. The screen protector fits well but one must take care to get it installed accurately and correctly. If you are all thumbs, get someone who has the craftsman's touch to do it for you. The buttons are wonderful; positive and sturdy. The materials are of high quality. The phone fits snugly and goes in easily. The design in both ergonomics and materials make this case fit wonderfully in the hand and will slip out of only the most careless of paws. To top it off, the price is very reasonable. I paid twice as much for another case (Pelican Voyager) and this one is far superior to it. It comes with a lanyard if you need it and the included holster works well. The foldout stand is integrated into the case (not the holster, thankfully) . You might have to insert a small screwdriver under the stand to extend it the first time. Be sure to pry up from the end with the two vertical slots. Don't pry on the end with the swivel axles that are perpendicular and to the left and right of the stand.Update: I have been using this case now for almost two years and it is still working as well as the first day. I have taken the phone in and out of the case many times in order to use the phone with a VR headset.Another Update : It is now November 2019 and I am going to replace my case with another one that is exactly the same. After 4 drops on various hard surfaces and many soft drops on rugs over more than 2 years of use, a little piece of the hard plastic chipped off. I do not even know when it happened and I could keep using it but I will insure my continued use of the phone with a fresh case.

This is a very good case for 18 bucks. All the reviews about this case helped me in purchasing it. Many of the lower star reviews (not including the defective product ones) complained about loss of sensitivity and dead spots on the screen with the glass protective shield. I followed the instructions included with the unit and had no trouble installing the glass protective shield. I wore latex gloves while installing it to prevent finger prints during the installation process. I have not noticed any loss in sensitivity, or "dead spots" in my screen. There are two noticeable (not blaringly obvious) narrow lines of adhesive down the exterior edge of the glass on each side. The glass installed without leaving bubbles underneath it. The glass protective shield did not detach once the phone was placed into the case. I removed the phone from the case a few times and the glass shield remained intact. The case itself is light weight and not overly bulky. The exterior of the case is not tacky to facilitate enhanced grip, but the product does not advertise that it does. The exterior buttons all function without overly exerting pressure on them maintaining ease of use. Based on my experience with other "non Otterbox" cases of good quality, this case, in my opinion is well insulated enough to withstand a drops, bumps and shocks as it advertises it does. The stand on the back of the case is reasonably sturdy and if operated with care, should not break under normal use. The belt clip that comes with the unit appears reasonably sturdy for normal daily use. The case with phone in it does securely lock into the belt clip and there is no play while phone is locked in. The clip does rotate 360 degrees and ratchets during rotation to prevent free swiveling. It is my opinion that most composite belt clips of this design would not withstand dynamic situations such as getting caught in a seat belt while attached to a persons waist belt as they are stepping out of a vehicle without some type of damage. I personally do not use the type of belt clip that comes with the unit. A lanyard is also included.At the end of the day, I did want to purchase the Otterbox case and Otterbox glass shield. I did NOT want to pay 75-100$ for those two items. I don't like the plain look of Otterbox, I do like the look of this case. I do like the price of this case. I do like all of the accessories, especially the glass protective shield that comes with this case. Many other cases for my phone do not have a protective shield included. I do believe that this case will protect my phone from drops, bumps and shocks. I have not experienced any decline in the features of my phone from the use of this case. I purchased this case with Amazon Prime. I don't usually write product reviews, but I do like this phone case.

I usually buy a case or 2 whenever I get a new phone. My Chinese Blackview phone's screen shattered and so I upgraded to a brand new Samsung Galaxy S8. In the past I've opted for chunky amor like cases, usually the grenade grip variety. I've tried UAG and Otterbox so I wanted something different.This case has the same DNA as my high end cases of the past but with a few bonuses. I loved the OD green/tan color combo...it looked pretty military and bad ass. I liked the grip and texture and the kick stand was a big plus. I don't use the accompanied belt clip system but if I did I'd say this was one of the better built setups. I found the buttons on the phone to be tactile and the ports easily accessible. I also like the unique waves on the back, they're surprisingly comfortable in the hand and totally functional.I did not like the screen protector. It requires extra effort to swipe and input with the screen protector on so I ended up tossing it after an hour. This is my first EDGE like phone and I absolutely LOVE how Samsung allows videos to be stretched to the max...this case takes away from that infinity experience. Don't get me wrong...this is a beast of a case and if thats what you're looking for you can't go wrong. I'm just in love with the novelty of having a more immersive video viewing experience.I decided to shelf this case in exchange for a Ringke Fusion case in smoke. I found what the Ringke lacked in amor it made up with by allowing the screen viewing experience to be maximized.Having said that.......if my phone falls on cement with my Ringke Fusion....i'm probably screwed. I'd say i'd be less screwed if I dropped the phone with the Zico Bolt case on. I'd definitely recommend an aftermarket screen protector.Final Thoughts: If you are shopping for an Otterbox or a UAG....give the Zico Bolt a try....its a modern fresh look to the same old same old that the competition is pumping out.

El mejor protector hasta el momento, los que tengan problemas con la mica les doy un pequeño consejo. Primero pongan el protector y despues la mica y ya no se quebrara y no se lvantara.

I use this every day. The glass protector broke the first week I had it, but I really don't care. Love the ruggedness of this case.

Liked everything about it ,EXCEPT the clip was broken when it arrived and my son can't clip it to his belt like he wanted to.

Die Hülle schützt das Handy. Jedoch sollte man darauf achten, dass man die Ränder des Galaxy S8 noch benutzen kann nachdem man die Glasscheibe aufgeklebt hat. Bei mir ist das jetzt ein wenig eingeschränkt.Aber es sieht gut aus und schützt. Daher 4/5 Punkte!
