I researched and researched to find this desk. But half the time when I put in that much effort, I feel like an idiot for buying something online that I would have rejected if I’d seen in with my own eyes in the store. But this desk is wonderful!!! My top concern was weight and ease of portability. I want to be able to carry an “office” on my back. I travel around all day, and I was looking for something I can easily set up anywhere and also something that gives me the option of sitting cross-legged on the floor or even standing at a desk rather than sitting on a hard chair to do work. There was like almost no assembly. It’s very easy to just pop up when you pull it out of the box. And it’s SO LIGHTWEIGHT! I slipped into into a thin drawstring pack threw it on my back, and voila it’s light as a feather on my back or under my arm, I could hop on a bike with this not affecting my balance. At the same time it’s very sturdy. I leaned on it with quite a lot of my weight to test it out and it didn’t wiggle or shift at all. I won’t try this, but I get the sense that if I were to drop it, it would probably be fine. Feels like it could withstand a bit of knocking around. Also I love the adjustability- the height, and the angle. Also my feet and much of my legs can go under it when I sit on the floor cross-legged with it. Until now I have been working on a simple floor desk that I made from cardboard. This Neeto desk is just as light as my cardboard desk, but folds up which I couldn’t do with my homemade desk. I love love love this desk. I suppose some people might say it’s not the prettiest thing in the world with big clunky crossbars but their functionality is worth it. It’s not the ugliest either. I like the Cherry color and it feels nice to the touch. Oh, one thing I might suggest when you first open it up and start playing with the adjustments- I couldn’t figure out at first how to tilt the tableplane at an angle. There are gray plastic tabs on each side underneath. You have to flip those outward to unlock the default 90-degree flat table plane. I was at first afraid to pull too hard cause I thought with my luck I would break the plastic tabs off. But you do need to apply a little pressure because they are in “lock” position-I didn’t get that at first. And the instructions didn’t really help me understand what to do, but I was able to figure it out after just fiddling around with it for a minute. After you get the feel of it, it’s very easy, and I like the locking feature because it feels secure. I took a picture of what one of the gray tabs look like in the locked position, and then in the unlocked position maybe that will help someone. I am very impressed with the quality of this shorter version of the lap table! Please see the reviews on the larger versions for a better idea of how well-built and functional it is. I wasn't sure which version to order but the taller heights (as judged by a tape measure) seemed way too high to use sitting or lying down. I'm very glad that I ordered the shorter one because it is perfect for sitting. The table surface is a good size for my ipad pro but there's not much room left over. The materials and construction are excellent, and even the box it came in was very professionally done. If you plan to travel with the table, you might want to save the box, which even has a carry handle and is sturdy. The positions are easy to adjust, and the weight is light. It's easy to fold up and put away. The top is a very light woodgrain pattern. I probably would have chosen a slightly darker color, but it's fine as it is. This table is a high-quality product, and it should last for many years. I think I'll find many uses for it, and I know my neck will appreciate that I don't have to bend my neck down so much. It's perfect for reading! Highly recommended!

I really like the table. I wanted to start standing up to work on my computer, and this is a great alternative to buying a new desk. This table is wide enough for my 17" laptop and my mouse & most of a mousepad (extra goes under my laptop). I'm 5'9" barefoot, so the table could go a little higher, but it is fine the way it is. The keyboard is more comfortable on the table than it is sitting on my desk with me in my chair (set as high as it will go).Two minor flaws (and I do mean minor): I like having my laptop at an angle to type on it, but that causes my mouse to slide off. Is there some sort of a side-pad that I could set my mouse on and not have it hit the floor when I forget to set it on top of my roll-top desk? There is a stop to keep my laptop from sliding off if the table is at an angle.Also, the table shakes a little bit when I type. I also type fast & hit keys a bit hard. That may be affecting the table, too. There is no danger of the table collapsing or moving off my desk as I type.Overall, it's a great table, and a very economical alternative to an expensive standing desk. Also very easy to use and adjust.

My wife uses this in bed to read her newspaper & do puzzles. It is easily adjustable & works well.
