I was excited when I received this and had carefully measured the hole in my table which was 2" to make sure this item would work. The cone wedge was made of rubber. However, I could only push it 1/4" down into the umbrella opening. Not far enough to provide the stability I wanted. It was too big to fit securely. Also had to oil the inside of the opening to slide my umbrella pole (1 1/2" in diameter) into it. So to make it work, I used a utility knife to shave down the exterior of the cone so I could slide it into the patio table hole. It now is almost 1 inch below the tabletop and holding my umbrella better.So while product idea was great, and if you are willing to cut your thumb, this will barely work for your table.Certainly will be effective for larger openings!

If you have problems keeping your umbrella centered this is the answer.. It was the perfect match for my deck table. It’s mad to fit any umbrella table hole.

Thought it would be more flexible. Great idea, but didn't work for me.

The wedge material is some kind of strong rubber. It flexes just a little like you would expect from thick rubber. That's good so it doesn't break/crack like the clear plastic types.The fit over my umbrella pole was perfect. The wedge is made of solid rubber, not hollow. Very robust.

Worked great with my patio table! Prior to this the pole would lift out and damage the table. Not anymore. Easy install

Had no idea how much this stabilizes my table umbrella. Like night and day. My umbrella was tipping over my entire table but no more.
