Ball Wide Mouth Quart (32 oz) Jars with Lids and Bands (4 Pack of 12)

I ordered this batch of jars and got a notice that they had been delivered. News to me. They were actually delivered somewhere else. No big, got online to request refund from Amazon and was surprised to learn...not eligible for refund. Tried to contact seller, but 917 phone disconnected. Box shows up from Walmart with 5 jars broken, one sheet of bubble packing. Well, what the heck, a few broken, but I can still use them. I start removing the broken jars, and learn that when a Ball jar breaks, it makes super-fine shards of glass. I was salvaging lids and noticed that they are a little sticky, fine glass shards adhere to them. Then I started noticing super-fine ground glass wedged under the rings (so they may, or may not, ever seal properly). If you happened to get the same thing and were in a hurry, maybe didn't notice shards on the rings or ground glass, maybe actually put some food up and ingested it... you could be on your way to the hospital in a hurry. I paid for them, so I was going to use them, but I'm not endangering any of my family. The only way I could think of to make them safe was to hand wash each jar, ring and lid, and then run them through the dishwasher. I could have thought of a better way to spend a few hours of my time. Still, as I was checking the box, over the sink, there happened to be a ray of sunlight and I could see super-fine particles of glass falling from the box. I threw the boxes away.It looks like the seller may have accidentally oversold their stock, and attempted to make good through another vendor. Ordinarily, I would say that is certainly an acceptable solution, end of story. But I don't buy or ship from Walmart, and this sort of thing is the reason why. I had no idea that something as simple as a glass jar could be potentially deadly. I wanted to share my results to help someone else avoid a possible trip to the hospital, at a time when hospitals are overwhelmed. Best of luck to all. And, um... just a thought: buy jars locally so you can look at their condition:)

I'm EXTREMELY UPSET AND DISAPPOINTED. I ORDERED WIDE MOUTH JARS AND RECIEVED REGULAR SIZE JARS. I CANNOT USE THESE JARS. I ORDERED THESE

Jars received were labeled wide mouth but were not. Still can use them for what they were ordered for, but probably won’t order from this company again.

Faster delivery than originally expected. But these are supposed to be wide mouth. Mine just got here and they are not the wide mouth

Great product for a great price but one of the four cases came with 2 broken jars and broken glass got everywhereeee, little peices on top of every lid of all four cases. Im not even sure how the peices got inside the other containers but they did. A few months later and I’m still finding pieces of it. Other than that of course it’s a great product. They just need better shipping material to protect the glass. I overpaid for those two jars.

I really enjoy these jars. I don't know about ordering them from Amazon, though. The price was a great deal. Luckily, we were home when the delivery guy came because every box was a tinkling cacophony of broken glass. We sent them back sight unseen.I do can with these jars, though. They wash up well, are strong in the pressure canner. And have kept our food good.

Ordered wide mouth quart jars. These aren’t wide mouth and they aren’t quarts. Looks like it’s a scam!!!

ripe off on price. what a crap person marks some thing up so high.
