Good mouse with a detailed review
I think that this product is good. I have been using it for a couple months now and have gotten used to it. I will start with the packaging. The packaging it came in was really good and i could tell it was quality. It came in a nice box and had accessories in it. Once i opened it I found weights, instructions, a secondary palm rest, and logo stickers. The only problem was that the weights didn't come with a container to put them in.The mouse itself is very good. I like it a lot. The right and left mouse keys are solid and the mouse wheel has a nice click to it. The mouse wheel is different than Logitech mouse wheels as it does not have the button to keep the mouse wheel spinning and the Logitech mouse seems to be more free spinning in general. The mouse wheel is more stiff and is very exact where you are spinning it to, there will be no mistake on where u spin the mouse wheel to. The featured aluminum core makes this mouse seem lighter but i cant say for sure. The sniper button is very useful and the angle that it is at is very handy. I have tried the Logitech Proteus core and found the sniper button on that to be kinda out of the way. the side buttons are basic according to gaming mice. the button on the top, next to the left mouse button is very useful if you use some kind of communication software like team speak or vent. The weights are kinda unnecessary and don't really do much. the palm rest adjuster is nice and is helpful. the rubber grips on the sides of the mouse are nice too.The software on the mouse is great. I found it easy to use and that it is very customizable. all the buttons an the mouse can be changed to what ever you what (even the left and right mouse buttons). The sniper button is not preloaded onto the mouse so you will have to do that through the software. Even the lighting can be changed on the mouse. Not the dpi lighting but the light under the mouse wheel. The software has three different modes you can put it into.Overall the mouse is great. It offers a different style then Logitech or Razor.Like i said before I have used this mouse for awhile now and am very pleased with it.

Quality and potential for a good price.
The first thing I noticed was how light it felt. I have been using a Logitech G700s, and I forgot how heavy it was due to the batteries. The Cougar 700M esports is refreshingly light, glides great across my aluminum mouse pad. The standard left and right click have a small v shape to them so that your fingers naturally rest in the best position to feel the click. The middle wheel is locked and more knobby than the G700s with a little bit slower of a natural scroll rate, you can adjust the scroll rate in the UIX software so you get more lines with each notch.Below the scroll wheel is the DPI toggle switch, it toggles between 4 settings in order, no skipping you have to go past 4 to get back to 1. But if you only have 2 settings you prefer, you can set 1,3 and 2,4 in the software to get a true toggle. The presets area pretty wide range, 2 was slow, and 3 was a bit fast for me, so you should download the software as soon as you can to adjust them. There is an indicator light for which setting you are at, but it does not change color with the RGB settings. The adjustable palm rest is a feature I never knew I wanted, now I don't know how I'll go back. A simple turn of the knob moves it securely up and down with a threaded metal screw. I expect it to last a long time even if I was adjusting it repeatedly. I'm already considering a second purchase for my desk at work so I can relegate my wireless mouse only for mobile purposes. The RGB light is not very bright, in my normal home office I can barely tell it's on unless I’m looking down from right overhead. If I turn the lights down, it’s much easier to see so it would be nice for a LAN party or low light situation. You are limited to one color at a time with a ‘breathing’ dimmer setting, no setting it to rotate through colors like your keyboard. You can use the mouse without the UIX software, but you wouldn’t be able to adjust the color, or DPI settings. You should download it. However it has some confusing elements, like drag and drop for key binding, cool, but not always intuitive. You can have 3 stored profiles that will stay withThe “fire” button and Sniper button do not have key settings in the default profiles, so to use them you have to find the settings in the Advanced tab, and then a drop down for ‘Sniper’. Once I found this drop down (could use some color to get it to stand out) I found all of the other functions for mode switching and media/etc. There are way more functions than buttons, if you map any button to change the mode, make sure you have a button in that mode set as well or you will be stuck in the mode you switch to. I think it could use a dedicated ‘mode toggle’ button since you don’t have as many buttons as some other mice. One feature I had never seen before is the adjustable ‘lift height’ setting (in the UIX). Ideally if you have a good DPI setting you rarely have to lift the mouse to recenter, but we all know there are times that its unavoidable. This setting allows you to adjust so if you can just barely lift it and get the sensor to ignore the surface, or you have to lift it way up, this is good if you grip your mouse tight and have a tendency to lift it a little in normal usage.Overall I’m pretty happy with the lighter feel but solid construction. With the software I have hopes of updates to give it even more life. Price per value is pretty high with the Cougar 700M Esports.

Came in defective. Not for small hands
I'm coming off of a MadCatz R.A.T. 7, so I may be a little spoiled. The Cougar 700M grabbed my attention because it physically looks so much like my previous mouse; however it is far cry from fully customizable.Pros: Design, aesthetics, durable. If you have larger hands, it might be good for you.Cons: Not ideal for small hands, defective button out of the box, poor ergonomics, shody software. I have small hands (barely 7" from tip of middle finger to start of wrist), and I'm most comfortable with a palm grip. My thumb could barely hit the close side of the 45 degree thumb rest button. The fire button and the forward buttons were entirely out of reach. I could use the back thumb-side button. Even still, I tried to give it a chance and tried a few different grips.... no dice. Button reach aside, after a few hours, I could tell the lack of ergonomics on my ring and pinky fingers. The Cougar UIX software was very straight forward, but the section for programming was shody. You can only actually fully customize two buttons on the mouse. The thumb side 45 degree button and the 'fire' button. Once you set these buttons, the only way you can edit them is to fully reset the profile... but since you can only set two buttons... not a big deal. But it was annoying as F when you can't click to edit or the seeming obvious trash con icon is ineffective. The software was also prone to hanging up and becoming nonresponsive when saving/applying profiles. You can always set bindings inside of most games, but still... for the cost it should work properly.

Atractivo diseño y gran funcionalidad
Diseño genial y lleno de funcionalidades. El led RGB no es muy notorio y tampoco prende los colores correctamente pero eso no le resta calificación
