K&MStand Black, / K & M 12218 Music Sheet and Instrument Tray

I was tired of coveting my bassoon colleagues' trays and got one of my own. It's perfect for reed accessories, as well as decorations while playing Nutcracker. :)

This attachment for a music stand is just what I've been looking for. When there are no instrumentalist music stands around this is the next best thing. I'm a singer and in a small professional ensemble of 10 singers. We rehearse seated in a semi circle and I live to have other supplies out as we rehearse. This has been so useful. I highly recommend it for the musical over-achiever!

For what I yse these for...works great for me?

As a fledgling oboist I love this tray. Holds my water cup, cig papers, swab, pencil, reed case, etc and is perfect size and easy to attach to music stand.

I got this item to setup a keyboard in the booth with the mic, this is perfect for my needs

Excellent shelf, very sturdy, clips easily to a K&M music stand. It’s lined, so moving stuff around on it will not make noise.

I like the size and color. I use it to hold reeds and reed water.

I only bought this because it was the only item of its type (there are plenty more) that was of the specific dimensions I needed. The fact that it's made of aluminium rather than steel gives it a weight advantage, but so would the most ordinary of plastics. I'd at least have expected alocroming and stove enamel, but it just seems to be powder-coated - the underside rubbed against a nut on an adjacent stand and gouged a scratch out of the finish the first time I set it up. K&M is a company that bangs on about the quality of its products and prices them accordingly, so this is very disappointing. Have a look at the trays made by Stagg and other brands - I have several, all are much cheaper and none of them have this problem.

Took one look and sent it back the same day I received it. Overpriced, flimsy junk.

Bought this primarily to hold my piccolo for quick changes but it's also perfect for reed pots, tuner, pencil etc. (even sturdy enough to take a mug of tea!) While there are some decent cheaper models around, those I have tried are heavier and a bit too short for the picc, so for me the K&M was worth the higher cost. All my friends who see it now want one! Definitely a "how did I live without it?" product for any pit musician.

Perfect: now I use an iPad clip instead of a traditional music stand I needed somewhere to put all my crap, does the job!
