In contrast, this new design features a wrap-around case (like an Otterbox) that protects all corners, including the power button and the USB Type C connector. The clear acrylic backing is also a nice aesthetic touch.-The quality/texture of the vinyl covering on the front is also superior to the older productCons:-Slightly difficult to open; there is no tab to pull on to lift the coverConclusion:Because I bricked one Remarkable2 by dropping it (from only 20 inches) and thereby permanently damaging/locking-in the power button, I am definitely keeping my Remarkable2 tablets in this newer wrap-around case and would recommend anyone else who travels with their Remarkable2 to keep it in a protective case like this product. Very well made, aesthetically pleasing, and a good deal....

This cover is lightweight, sturdy, and protects my Remarkable 2 far better than the case I ordered from the Remarkable company as I travel for work. I really, really like the pen holder as well. And you just can’t beat the price. Very happy customer!

Some reviews suggest that it's set up wrong. If so, they've fixed the problem. In any case (no pun intended) it works great both protecting and getting out of the way.

Got a used case and damaged front cover

Came damaged, will be returning. The strap is also ok at best. For the price won't complain. As for protection, this is definitely the way to go. You'll have to expand the charging hole or u will have to take it out of the case everytime you want to charge.

The case itself isn't bad..it's just not my thing at all.It wasn't what I was expecting and it's my fault anyways. I thought it was a case that GOES AROUND the screen, not covers it entirely. This means if you want to use your Remarkable, you'll be using it through a really thick plastic that's too smooth for me. I'm used to using the paper-like material on the ReMarkable screen, so switching to a smooth surface is off-putting to me. Plus, the calibration is off when trying to draw with the pencil on the case. It doesn't feel natural at all. I ended up taking it off and just using my tablet by itself.The good thing is it's a good material for protection! If you're okay with that smooth surface and wonky pencil drawings, then go ahead!I'll keep it but only for the far more useful pencil case. 😅

This is sufficient, but the charging hole is smaller than the charger hole in the device so it cannot be charged without taking it off. Which is especially annoying if you're trying to use the device while charging it.

I am using this pen as a replacement to the remarkable 2 w/ eraser. This replacement pen does not quite provide as much pressure sensitivity as the remarkable pen however it does write reliably.
