Heng's JRP2126 Outside Damper - Flapper Only Black

Fit perfectly, exact replacement

Exact fit and easy installation. I used a razor to cut around the dicor sealant of the vent duct and carefully flipped it up making sure not to damage the seal or the duct. I then installed the damper in the holes that were already there. Easy enough!

My "flapper" for my RV's stove broke one of the two tangs that hold it in place which means I had to remove the flapper every time I needed the vent. I thought I'd have to replace the whole vent until I saw this. Took a couple of minutes to remove two screws and put the new flapper in. Problem solved!

Last year I noticed that our outside vent-a-hood damper on our camper was somewhat broken but it was still holding up while secured to keep the wasps and such from building nests. On our first camping trip of the year I forgot to re-secure the damper before we headed home. I figured it out after getting home and it was MIA. Ordered this and had it installed in just a few minutes. I only had to remove 2 screws and cut some silicon to tilt the cover up (I didn't remove it completely) and access the area I needed to get the new damper in. I do have to go back and caulk over it but just needed it bug tight for now since it's under a carport.*I hope this helps someone, it was about as clear as mud to me until I actually did it. I added some pictures to help illustrate what I'm saying. The yellow circles indicate the 2 screws I had to remove to do this job, and yellow lines indicate where I had to cut the silicon to be able to move the cover.
