Good, heavy quality steel and well engraved markings!
Great framing square. Tolerates all the scratching and abrasion from the job and storage in the toolbox without removing all the increment markings. Came shipped in a large box which prevented any type of bending (as if possible) in its trip. Very heavy material so don't let it drop from your roof joists onto someone! :D

Just a regular carpenter square. Nothing fancy...
The title says: "Swanson Tool TS157 Steel Carpenter Square 16-Inch X 24-Inch"The description says: "High-grade aluminum alloy"You will get STEEL.The description says:"Chemically etched gradations" and "Highly visible, permanently impressed gradations in 1/8", 1/10", 1/12", and 1/16" scale"You will get PERMANENTLY IMPRESSED and GRADUATIONS DOWN TO 1/8".It still works as a carpenter square... But I specifically bought this one because it says graduations down to 1/16", which it is not. So I'm disappointed. I just got another regular carpenter square. Could have gotten the same thing made by Stanley at Lowes for $7.95.

Nice and sturdy. Heavy made of steel. Says it's powder coated but looks more like clear coat. Hopefully it doesn't rust

Parece que es difícil hacer una escuadra que esté en escuadra. Ya es el tercer escuadra de marcas diferentes que compro, y parece que en este nivel de precio es mejor olvidar, pues todos vinieron fuera de escuadra.

Looked like a good square for the 19 second I had it. Mine was bent in the box so it went back. It was down to whoever packed it. The box was 1/2 inch smaller than the item but that wasn't going to stop the industrious packer from shipping it. A bend here and a twist there, and hey presto!!It was pretty solid and easy to read, it was a great price for the item.
