Peerless CMJ500R1 Lightweight Suspended Ceiling Kit -White

When I was called on to install a projector for the first time in a drop ceiling, I kinda over-did it with research because I wanted to get it correct the first time. I went with this mount and it went great!First, the parts feel durable. All necessary hardware, poles, and wires are included for a standard single projector install. The wires and pole allow for longer drop lengths to account for higher ceiling clearances. Installation was straightforward with the detailed instructions. Once assembled, the kit feels secure and handles a mounted projector without any stability issues.I found this kit surprisingly sturdy and lightweight. Being made from aluminum, while it's rated to support about 20 lbs, it weighs less than 3 lbs itself!The price was also very reasonable compared to other kits on the market. I was impressed with this Peerless Suspended Ceiling Kit. With its lightweight design and rated strength, this kit is recommended for cleanly mounting a projector from a ceiling.

simple, good quality, perfect

This is a great kit as it includes all the necessary things you need to install a projector or even TV to a drop ceiling infrastructure. It mounts easy and stable with the included cables and positions in the width direction to the drop ceiling panel. You can even still put the full panel back in, provided you cut the necessary holes for the mount and / or junction boxes. There are also holes to slide / adjust your mounting kit...Which brings me to the downside.. I'm not sure which mounting kit will work well with this. The spacing doesn't seem to fit my mounts. I ended up just using a piece of plywood to distribute the load on the backside, drilled holes, and mounted it that way.Either way, still a good product.

We bought this after it turned out the projector ceiling mounting kit didn't have anything to mount to dropped ceilings. The brand name suspended ceiling kit was twice as much as this, and didn't look as nice. The product itself is very well made, fits standard dropped ceilings like a charm, and was easy to install. It took about 30 minutes once you knew what you were doing to measure, cut the ceiling tile, drop in the mount, screw it into the T rails, and then secure the safety cables. The cables themselves are sturdy, the locking clamps can be unlocked easily and reused which is really nice if you have to, say, move one of the cables due to ventilation making the projector shake.Overall very happy with my purchase

Be careful, while this product may be a good one it's not the one pictured. This is a 1x2 adjustable mounting bracket, not the 2x2 bracket shown in the picture nor the 2x2 bracket discussed at the top of the technical details. Very misleading.That said, the adjustable product received was of good quality and finish, just not what was needed.
