Scarves: A Knitter's Dozen (1) (A Knitter's Dozen series)

Who ever has enough scarves. I know I don't, not with 12 grandchildren. I found some of the techniques very interesting and am doing the short row scarf as this is something I've never done before but the instructions for working the short row are clear and easy to follow. There are wonderful pictures of all the projects but I found some of them impractical or not very original. Nonetheless the book is worth the money if only to inspire me to do more.

There's more to scarves than plain long rectangles! the scarves in this book are anyting but ordinary, and they are challenging enough to keep you interested but simple enought for begginers to acomplish one of this unusual scarves.Try one! try them all!!!! they are super simple, super cute!!!!I have already started on my Xmas Gifts, and they will be anythingh BUT blah!

I am selling scarves so I am always in search of pattern ideas. With most books I find that either the patterns are too basic (or just plain ugly) or they are too advanced for my level. This book has a good balance of neat, unique patterns that are easily made by a beginner to moderate knitter.

Everyone has different tastes when it comes to scarves and unfortunately this book is not my taste. I was extremely disappointed in the scarf patterns in this book as I didn't like any of them. They were too "out there" for me. I will donate the book to the library or the thrift store.

I just recd this book and have only started my first project. I think the patterns are lovely,easy to follow directions and fast enough to make several for gifts.

I received this book last week and I have already finished knitting the Ascot. It took a bit long because it's going to be a present for my mother so I could not work on it in her presence, and that leaves me only little time! still, the repeats were easy to remember, the pattern fun and I learned how to make shortrows! how cool is that?I'm about to cast on a couple more scarves from this book, and am looking forward to making more.The patterns are easy to read, the project requirements are clear and the photos show you how it looks with different colors and changes in the pattern, so it encourages you to try and modify it to your taste.The scarves are original but highly wearable, and they are suitable to a wide range of users: there are funky, colorful scarves for the outgoing sparkly types, there are clasic, elegant ones, scarves with interesting textures, scarves that will have people stopping you in the street to take a closer look at it!Since scarves are easy and fast to knit, you can add your personality statement to your wardrobe with the different models you'll find here.

THIS BOOK HAS A LOT OF UNUSUAL SCARVES. NOT ALWAYS THE "SAME AS ALL THE REST" KIND OF BOOK. ADD A FEW ASSORTED BEADS HERE AND THERE AND YOU WILL DRESS THEM UP EVEN MORE. HAVING FUN WITH THIS AND IN-BETWEEN OTHER PROJECTS, THIS IS A QUICK AND FUN FIX!
