Wonderful purchase
I researched a LOT of different up/down desk leg models. When I purchased this one there hadn't yet been any reviews posted. But it had both the best features and the best price. So I went for it. I could not be more pleased! It's extremely well built from heavy steel covered with a beautiful black finish. One of the key selling points for me is the range of up/down motion. Not only can it be raised up to 50" off the floor (not including the thickness of your desktop), but it can go down as low as 24.5", which was important for me and difficult to find in other models. The control unit was also important for me. Most other up/down desk models use a different control with "hard" buttons. That particular brand control has 2 problems: (1) It's all too easy to accidentally hit one of the buttons with your chair, sending the desk up or down unexpectedly; and (2) It occasionally malfunctions, forcing you to reset it or "reboot" the electronics to get it working again. The control module included with the Canary desk has a full touch-screen which automatically disables itself after some number of seconds. To move the desk up or down, you tap the touch-screen to wake it up, and then hold the "M" button to re-enable it. This prevents accidental adjustment of the desk. And so far I have not yet had to "reboot" it. Wonderful purchase!

poor packaging and motor doesn't work
The first shipment came to me in pieces. I had to return it for a second try. The second shipment was also a bit beat up but at least workable. They do not package this product adequately for the weight of the product. It will arrive damaged. The motor on this desk doesn't work. It goes dead after 15-30 seconds of being powered on and the only way to get the power back to raise or lower the desk is to restart it... unplug or turn it off for 15-30 seconds, then turn it back on. I've been trying to figure out how to contact the company for help and cannot even see how to contact them for help. Great concept but poor execution!! Do not buy this product.

Excellent choice for a custom sit/stand desk!
I needed a full desk not just a little laptop workstation. I ended up using a 28"x80"x1-3/8" door for the countertop (hollow core to hold the weight down). I need not have worried--this unit is super heavy duty and the twin motors don't even break a sweat lifting and lowering. I go down to 25" low to accommodate an ergonomic keyboard and an active-seating chair. I go up to 44" high to accommodate the same keyboard and me standing on a 360 degree wobble/balance board (that added 3" to my height requirement). No worries--this goes up to 50.4" in case you need even more height. And the beauty of it: a full coffee cup will not spill whether going up or down! All in: this unit exceeded my expectations!

Just what I need, the low height level is a plus
Easy to assemble, please read the instructions manual it’s literary one page. The desk will go to please after few minutes to wake it up please press the letter M on the display screen, then you can move the desk up and down. The height goes a slow as 24 feet this is what make me in love with desk

A great kit to be combined with custom table tops
Used this with a butcher-block top and finished project turned out great. Easy assembly and motors are smooth and quiet. Note that if you plan on adding a pull-out keyboard you will need to obtain 2” track standoffs for your sliding keyboard tray and will still need to remove and discard the wiring tray from the center support bar. A couple zip ties can help keep the extra motor control wires neat and tidy in place of the tray.

Great frame
Just assembled the frame with IKEA Gerton desktop. Works out great, very sturdy even at the highest position. The control goes sleep to save power, great feature but make sure to read the manual to know how to use it. The control board can also set alarms to remind you to stand up. Great product.

Died after first use.
Looks and works awesome - until it doesn’t. The screen lights up but buttons don’t respond to touch. Not sure how to fix. Manual that comes with it lists error codes and sizes but my touchpad doesn’t show error codes and I can’t reset it

Doesn't work
Came in a second hand box despite being brought new. Didn't work properly when taken out of box - had to switch power off and back on, now doesn't work at all. Absolute dud.

Needs constant repowering
Once the control panel (or motor?) goes to sleep only way to get it running again is to unplug power for 10 seconds. Cannot find anything in instructions about this. Assembly instructions leave a lot to be desired. Disappointing no response from Canary products
