A Well-made medical product
Silver nitrate sticks have medicinal uses and can be used to treat various dermatological conditions. These are well-made and are long enough so they can be manipulated easily without risking drips on the operator's hands or clothes.

Helps canker sores
Really helps clear up any canker sores. Leaves white stain on sore. If applied to healthy mucosa it will change it black for a few days but no pain

They work.
These silver nitrate sticks worked perfectly. Even though they did not come with instructions I knew how to use them on my husband’s granulation tissue around his stoma. They all were intact and they arrived quickly.

Not covered in plastic wrap as they were supposed to be
The sticks were supposed to be covered in white plastic (as it shows in the picture) but they came with no covering whatsoever. If they're not covered or protected from light, they lose their effectivity. I returned them.

Effective but not much material on each stick
The silver nitrate is effective, but each stick has an extremely small amount on it, and the amount is not consistent from stick to stick. This makes the price quite high versus buying a bottle, but the sticks make it convenient to use. Some sticks are very dark and some are very lightly colored, presumably indicating a wide variation in the amount applied. Once applied to a skin tag, within hours it starts to die and peel off (and stings a lot). On a larger mole, it takes several days until it becomes dry and starts to scrape off, and may need additional applications. The residual silver nitrate takes a long time to fade away, days to weeks and can last much longer if too much is used. Overall these are good if you only need to apply them to a few spots.

Life savers, to have in your first aid kit! I have them in case I cut one of my dog's nail too short (and I wish I don't use them).

Most of the sticks are partially broken. Doesn’t really help with canker sores. Wouldn’t buy again.
