These traps were pretty easy to set once you read the instructions. They are pretty lightly made, with a wooden base and a wire mesh tunnel, with thin stamped steel doors, however you are not trying to catch a tiger, so they are more than robust enough. I have not yet caught the mouse that has made its way into my in-laws kitchen, but I'm sure it is only a matter of time.

These traps are really very diminutive. I know the point of their tiny size is that one could place them in a very small space, but the outcome is that when the wee beast is caught, it is kept in a very very confined cage. The reason most of us order these traps is supposed we are trying to catch and release mice in a humane manner, so I would say that even an additional 2 inches of room, so mouse isn't squished in there, would be appreciated.

i used this product to catch a fieldmouse.when i checked the cage the poor mouse was trapped in the gate,which had garroted him.mercifully his death must have been instant. I'm looking for a safer trap.
