Stay off My Operating Table: A Heart Surgeon's Metabolic Health Guide to Lose Weight, Prevent Disease, and Feel Your Best Every Day

Good basic information from a smart doctor about how to get metabolically healthy
I really liked this book: well-written, to-the-point information anyone can benefit from with suggestions anyone can follow, with absolutely no need to jump in off the deep end if it works better for you to go step-by-step. May not have some of the "star-power" that other books by other doctors talking about metabolic health rely on, but in my opinion that is all to the good.

This book is so informative I'm readying it AGAIN!
This is a fantastic book written by a doctor who's been there, done that, when it comes to having been much too heavy. He spent a lot of his life being overweight, and then doing goofy diets, but as we all know by now, diets rarely have lasting effects. He now just eats primarily a steak a day (according to the book, maybe he's changed that). I liked the book because it's very comprehensive yet easy to read and quite motivating. Nowadays besides being a heart surgeon, he helps people with weight issues. I'm actually reading the book again...something I very rarely do! Lots of interesting and helpful information in this book

Stay Off My Operating Table
My husband and I were listening to Dr. Philip Ovadia one night on the You Tube channel . It was very interesting to listen to. My husband had already had a Heart attack and 5 stents put in. We are both 70 years old, and, heart attacks run in our family. His Mother passed away at 56 . Both of my parents passed away at 77and I also loss my three older brothers and sister through Heart attack. I am really trying to look after husband and myself . I want us both to be around for a few more years . So we really need to be smart and eat healthier and exercise. Hopefully we can be around for a few more years and enjoy our Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. This book is worth reading, it can change your life.
