Excellent Grip and Support for Heavy Lifting
I’ve been using the straps for a week now, and they’ve made a big difference in my workouts. Whether I’m doing deadlifts, rows, or pull-ups, the grip support is solid and reliable. The straps are heavy-duty and feel durable, with padded wrist support that makes lifting more comfortable. The hooks are strong and give me extra confidence when going heavy, especially on pulling exercises. They save my grip strength so I can focus more on the lift itself. If you’re serious about weight training, these are a great addition to your gym gear.

Every Gym User Should Have These
Having tried just about every type of gym strap available, from wraps to hooks, I was left speechless by this offering from Bear Grip.I saw the recommendation by Dr Mike on his Renaissance Periodization videos for this style of grip but the ones he named are over £60. I saw these Bear Grips for under £20 and they look identical. I read the reviews and they were stellar so I took a punt. I am so glad I did. They arrived quickly and in brand new condition. I tried them today and I can honestly say that all the other grips I have are going in a storage bag in the garage as I won’t ever be using them again.Simply put, these are perfect. They take all the effort of gripping heavy weights out of the equation and leave you to focus on the core muscles you are targeting. So today I shrugged 36kg dumbbells with ease. I could have held them for an hour as my grip just didn’t give up. I was left to make a mind connection with my traps and I have never hit them like this before. Amazing.Yes, it probably means I am taking out some of the grip training from my forearms but this should easily be compensated for by the rise in the weights I can handle. I moved rapidly through the dumbbell rack and ended on the 44kg and I still could have gone higher. The straps are very accommodating for a wide range of wrist thickness so pretty much one size fits all. On the inside are two foam cushioning pads that mean despite the heavy weight, the straps do not dig into the skin on the wrists - making them super comfy. There is no faffing about like with regular straps when it comes to wrapping the bar. You simply flick the tongue over and the material is rigid and tactile enough to grab on the other side under the fleshy part of your palm. There is no time wasted and you can begin the exercise immediately. Also, unlike with hooks you aren’t stuck at the end with the heavy load in tired arms because you are able to effortlessly disengage from the weight by simply loosening the fingers and lifting the palm to release the tongue. Therefore you can knock out those final fatiguing reps safe in the knowledge you won’t get in a difficult disengagement at the end.I wanted to add some negatives to balance the review but I seriously can’t.I come from a family with seamstresses and so I know about stitches too and the needle work on these is perfect. Absolutely no issues with the quality control. I can see these lasting until my old age.I even chatted with the company. They are clearly 100% behind their product with exemplary customer support.I recommend any gym goer, from amateur to professional, to grab a pair of these. You won’t be disappointed.

They are good, but can only use them for certain exercises
I've got very small hands (I buy S, but could fit to XS gym gloves if needed to), so anything involving grip has been a hassle. Read the raving reviews and decided to order these (have not used wraps before). I have to say I found them pretty difficult to use/wrap initially and even considered sending them back, however some of the reviews did say that they need some 'breaking in' so I persevered and I'm glad I did. They do make a difference, and are pretty easy to use once you get a hang of it and the leather 'loosens' a bit. However, the downside which I didn't really see mentioned is that you do need the bar to be stable and hovering on something if you want to comfortably wrap both hands. So e.g. lateral pulls which I can barely reach anyway, I can only wrap one. If I want to do any kind of RDL, I need to use the squat rack safety bars as if the bar was on the ground I can't really get the wraps around one-handed etc. Could maybe benefit from some sort of a magnet feature or something? But they're reasonably priced and do help with a variety of exercises regardless, so I would still recommend if you're in the market for wraps.

Well made, excellent grip, immediate increase in performance.
Obviously a copy of the much more expensive Versa Grips, but man do they do the job so well! I have straps, but they are fiddly to wrap and not especially grippy. These things are like flypaper, I could immediately feel like I was connected to the bar I was lifting, vastly improved my rep range on deadlifts, pull downs and rows - hadn't quite appreciated how much I was being limited by my grip. They also fold nicely back on themselves between sets so you can tuck them in to use your phone or take a drink without removing them. For the money, these are excellent - you really cannot go wrong. The only downside, and it's personal and minor, is they have a strong memory foam and latex smell, which I'm sure will disappear over time.
