My 6:00 AM wake up call has ceased!
What's more annoying than some dopey bird pecking at your roof at 6:00 AM? No longer do I find myself outside squirting the little twerp with a hose to drive him off. This is particularly true of the lovely desert woodpeckers that poke holes in anything that's stationary for more than 3 seconds.I bought this item with little hope that it would work. To my surprise, it does! Now... for it to work, it has to move as woodpeckers, apparently, don't seem to like shiny moving things. When the air movement ceases, the effectiveness drops. Since we live in the desert Southwest, flat roofs are common and there are few places to affix these to where they would catch the breeze. My solution was to mount it in proximity to the air stream of the fan on our roof mounted heat pump. When it's running, the reflector rotates... which is what deters the little twerps in the early morning hours as the heat pump is either running to heat or cool at that time of day. The rest of the day, it's breezy enough for the reflector to spin on it's own. Oddly, spooking the woodies has also reduced their desire to destroy our orange crop... a nice side benefit. Now, if only I could find something to chase off those dopey Mourning Doves that use the entire world as their toilet.....

This is the only Get Rid of Birds ITEM I have seen (and I have seen Lots)
The media could not be loaded. I have done everything to keep Bird Droppings off of my plane... Forget Ultra Sonic... Our birds are already deaf... I have tried everything imaginable except shooting them, but the airport frowns on Firearms. This item actually works. it has been now been months since my plane has been targeted... The Planes close to me have not been bombarded either! I purchased a second and put on the other side of the plane... The wind ALWAYS blows at my airport, so that is not an issue... Good Ridden to the Birds! I did not want to drill into airport structure and I may want to move it some what to keep the birds off balance... I used small C-Clamps that I got from Lowes and that works great. Note the images and Video! - After using for sometime now, About 6 months, it has greatly helped... But when there isn't much wind/breeze they tend to show up anyway... I now have 2 of them... Add 1 and problem returned... Going to take one down to see if 2 was just too much. Follow up on this.. With the 2nd one installed (1 on the each side of the plane)... No MORE Birds within 3 Parking spots either way!

Doesn't work
It installs just fine and spins without any issues. However, the only thing it does is trigger motion sensing with my cameras. It does NOT deter the birds. We found the birds that were nesting would land on this thing and just ride it around. The birds are not scared off.

Keeps the birds away!
Keeps birds off your balcony without a doubt. Spinning plastic cones reflect light and motion that keeps birds off your balcony! No more poop on our patio furniture!

Not the greatest for your backyard.
It gives out a good reflection but only if it spins. The wind has to be pretty strong in order for it to spin. I even put a lubricant in the center of the rod but it still didn’t help. Your best bet for your money is to buy the diamond pattern high reflective tape; “Britenway”. This tape works great in your backyard! Maybe the best application for this spinner is to put it on top of the house.

Great, Sturdy Deterrent
These work great on our dock. We have 4 of them to keep the crows and other birds away. They are very sturdy and easy to assemble. They have stood up to very strong winds with no problems or issues. I highly recommend these over other, more flimsy devices

Better Than The Bird-B-Gone Spider 360
I first bought the Bird-B-Gone Spider 360 in the 2-foot model. I wanted something to put on the antenna mast so the birds and woodpeckers would not sit on the antenna and leave bird droppings on my flat garage roof. From the photo, I bought a 3/4 inch galvanized floor flange and 3/4 inch PVC pipe so that I could put together a way to mount this on the 1.25 antenna mast.I was disappointed with the spider and even with a 20 mph wind the spider did not rotate and the stainless steel arms did not move. I still had woodpeckers clinging to the antenna mast and decided to exchange this for the Bird-B-Gone Reflect-A-Bird because it mentions that it is good for woodpeckers.I used the same mount but had to drill new holes the the base of the Reflect-A-Bird so that I could mount it on top of my antenna mast.Even with a one mph wind the reflector spins, and no more woodpeckers. This by far is the best device and since installing it I have not had a bird or woodpecker on the antenna.I also added several Reflective Scare Rods that I bought on Amazon and they spin in the wind and keep the birds off of the antenna. By adding these devices it does not interfere with receiving a great signal from the antenna. This really works and that is why I am writing my review because the Reflet-A-Bird is worth the money.
