We got these lights to brighten up the living room and we love them. We placed them on either side of our entertainment center. Initially we were hoping these would replace our 1 light we had in here prior but kept it in the rear since that helped balance the brightness in the room. In the picture is the pair at their brightest setting on the warm hue. The remote only works for one lamp at a time. Batteries are not included, need 2 AAA. You also have to point it at each lamp individually to change the setting. There is an app to hook up via Bluetooth with them but that’s been a hard time trying to pair. Still have yet to do so. They are plugged in to a wall outlet that is wired to a switch and they always turn back on to the last setting.The assembly was super easy. My boyfriend and I tagged teamed it putting them together and had it done in like 20 minutes. Just gotta take your time lining up the sticker seam and the rivet holes. Tip!! Just peel the sticker backing paper off a little bit at a time as you go to help your control how the seam lines up better.Bought them during Black Friday and are definitely worth it.

Was so excited to get these lights. They were kind of fun/challenging to get together, but it doesn't take too long. My problems started with set up. The Gvvoo home app does not exist unless you download it from a sketchy website that requires a different program to run it. Android app store does not have it. It is on Alexa, but when you try to log in it won't let you make a new account. It just keeps saying username is invalid. One of the questions answered here on Amazon say to use Tuya, but that app does not have these lights in their list to choose from. Upset, but hey, they come with a remote. I would have been fine with that, yet the remote is very flimsy and only works maybe 20% of the time. I saved up 80$ to get these for my game room and am not impressed. Plus side is when I do get them to work they are pretty bright. They light up the room well and look really nice. Just a shame the technology was ignored.

The assembly was tedious but definitely only a one person job. Looks crazy but super simple. Called for rubber bands to hold the cylinder shape while you get all together. I was able to even do without the rubber bands. They are dainty and fit perfectly in corners. Originally got these to help set the mood when I have clients come over for aroma touch therapy. Honestly, already using them just for my enjoyment. Best part is it comes in a pack of 2. I had a delay in the pairing process. The company was super fast in the assistance and very pleasant to speak with. Just scan the QR code and send your questions over to the company, I had immediate response which is rare especially for a Sunday. So thanks to them for the help! Both of the floor lamps got paired and I have control via the remote and also through the GVOO Home app on my phone! Go purchase yours now! Haven't tried the music sync yet, but definitely excited about that feature.

I know that most of you have complained that there is not an app to control this. I was very disappointed because I bought this brand having one of their other lights that I really liked but needed a lot more light. Anyway, I was able to figure out that the same app that I did install for the other fixture works with this one. If you look at the picture that I posted with this review, you will see the application name. Smart Life from volcano will work with these. What you need to do is make sure to have Wi-Fi near where you are trying to set them up. You can download that program and go into discovery mode by pressing the plus button on the upper right and telling it to do that. Go to the fixtures and unplug and plug them in three times. I actually did it five times to make sure it works and after doing that it only took a few seconds to come up. You add the light and then it will ask you to add your Wi-Fi even if you have already added it for another fixture. Just do it. It will come up with Wiki and some Chinese characters after that as the name of the fixture. The software is wonderful for being able to control what the strips do and having scenes and sitting up anything you want to do. I give this four stars because all of that was kind of a pain to even figure out but getting it done the whole thing works very well. I would recommend these to people even though there is a bit of a durability issue. They look very cool and I'm happy to have them. I hope that helps some people with the app control.

It was pretty tough to put it together. The instructions ask you to hold it together with rubber bands but they didn’t provide rubber bands. The remote does not come with AAA batteries that you need. The quality of the lamp is low as well. It’s not as bright as I thought it was going to be. Do not buy imo. You get a plastic thing that you have to build pretty much into a lamp. I really wish I had known it was pretty much soft flimsy plastic king of lamp and not a hard plastic like I expected it to be. Took me a while to build the first one and now I wish I hadn’t. Gotta figure out if I should return it.

I purchased the pair of lights 6 months ago. 4 months after purchasing one of them starts just flashing randomly. I assumed it was on music mode, but it didn't matter how much I tried, it won’t stop flashing. The other one was working fine, but it recently went out. I unplugged them completely for 4 weeks and tried plugging them back in. Same issue prevails.I think for $80 you can find something much better that doesn’t involve an hour long installation process. I genuinely thought they’d come ready to go. I wasn’t aware it was going to take that long just to put them together.

I like that it has multiple color choices and when you go to download the app for android users the name is smart life. The app the give you to use doesn't work. It was easy to assemble but it's a little tedious when trying to sync. But other than that this was a good buy for a small living room

These lamps are much shorter than pictured and they go out as if there’s a dead bulb. I haven’t even had these lamps for 4 months and they no longer work. Waste of money. Put your money into a different product that’ll be worth it because these lamps definitely aren’t.
