American Mug Pottery Ceramic"Texas Tea Cup" Coffee Mug, Made in USA, Cobalt Blue, 16 oz - Pack of 2

I've been using these mugs now for several weeks in serving the morning coffee and afternoon tea for my family. These are first quality, generously sized mugs, and I am very pleased with this purchase. Although the design of the handle allows only 2-3 fingers to grab it while the other fingers brace it from the bottom, hot beverages will be impossible to hold in this manner. My solution has been to crochet custom-fitted cozies for these mugs, in variegated colors (e.g. Red Heart's Monet and Autumn). Now, coffee stays hot longer and the mugs look fantastic. I purposefully searched for large, Made in America mugs for the simple reason that I prefer not to worry about ingesting toxic heavy metals leaching out of the glazes of ceramic ware. Hint: If you're concerned like I have been, check out the California Prop 65 link which is posted to certain products being offered on Amazon. My goal now is to use only ceramic ware which has been certified lead and cadmium free. American Mug Pottery and Homer Laughlin are two American companies which do just that. I'm happy and grateful that these two great companies are still around and producing excellent products. Please support American made products!

Bought these last year about this time. Started out buying just one set of two for my husband and I. We liked them so much I bought two more. Then company raved about them and we bought them as Christmas gifts. Now more company is here and they want a couple of sets after using ours. So sad when I found out that they are no longer available on Amazon since it's about the only way I shop anymore. I guess I'll try to contact the manufacturer directly since I can't seem to do without them. The mug holds 16 ounces and is comfortable to hold, made in America, very hefty without being too heavy, and doesn't get too hot to hold even after reheating in microwave. I'd give them much more than five stars if I could!

I bought six of these mugs and I now have three left that were not cracked in the first week. The porcelain glaze cracks all by itself without any extraordinary handling... it just cracks. They have a serious quality control problem and I would suggest not purchasing anything from them until they fix that.

I was pleasantly surprised with these mugs. I shopped around online (for 3 days!) looking for an American made large mug to hold my "lattes w/extra foam". They're a beautiful deep blue with a handle that just fits my hand. It has a small indentation on the bottom to crook your finger around & support the heavy latte. I highly recommend these AMERICAN made beautiful coffee mugs.

Came very well packaged and the black finish is flawless. Several reviewers complaints include handle too small, lip too big, handle gets too hot when microwaving. I find the handle well designed for TWO fingers and a curve below for the next finger. The lip is beefy which is a personal preference - I don't like thin lipped coffee mugs or wine glasses. The mug gets hot as any other mug I have when microwaving, but the handle stayed cooler than my other mugs.Beautiful mugs that already have people that have seen them ask where to get them.

The product itself is very well constructed and beautiful in color. Unfortunately, we found the hands to be very awkward and difficult to maintain balance once they were filled with liquid. Had to return these.

Nicely made mugs, except for the thick rim & location & size (small) handle. I guess I will get used to it. Arrived quickly & safely, double boxed.I was expecting a made in USA Label or “Lead Free Certified on bottom of mug, but Made in USA was on interior Box..

I love absolutely everything about this mug. The ONLY thing I have to say is that it states it's 16 ounces and that is incorrect. It's 14 ounces. Not a big deal, but false advertising on that part. Other than that, these mugs can be microwaved and do not stain and no worries of leaching of paint or other toxic things. LOVE THEM>
