A high quality instrument
I received the item today and I have been playing on it for several hours. I have to say, I did not expect very much and was pleasantly surprised with the construction of this product. The sound is wonderful and it has eight crisp cracking sound and wonderful pitch. It is sturdy and will go very well with any samba ensemble that I play in during the year.

It's everything a tamborim should be, and the color is awesome! Great high tone for cutting through at parades, marches, and outdoor performances. Very cool little drum.

Great sound
I have just joined a Samba band and have been playing on one of the band's tambourins, which sounded like a tin can. The difference between that and this Meinl is amazing. This has a really full sound. Lovely colour too.
