Review: Great 3 Speed Switch. - Perfect solution for my hood exhaust issue. Thermador Hood Exhaust fan switch panel gave out. Thermador no longer makes replacements parts for that model. Gutted all factory components and replaced with my own set up. This speed switch controls the exhaust motor and it is doing a good job. I wired the Thermador Motor to switch as noted; Black wire to H= High Speed / Blue wire to M= Medium Speed / Red wire to L= Low Speed. "B" on switch is for your black wire coming from your LINE (Hot) side. "C" becomes hot when you turn the switch on. Depending on your needs, C can be used or left alone.

Description for product is good. Quality of switch is good and appropriate for this price point. The control knob is sturdy and connections solid. The included female spade connectors are basic quality, but not trash, and were used in my efforts. There is a 5th terminal that passes power in all 3 ON positions. One could possibly use this terminal as power ON to the cooler pump when the fan is operating and have a one and done solution to get their cooler up and running. The toughest part of the installation was drilling and filing the mounting hole to final size to fit the switch correctly. (Picture note: The red switch operates the cool pump and the white switch is a push and hold ON switch from a clothes dryer door for the purge/drain pump.)

**Q: Does this come with wiring instructions for blower fans?**
A: Not really inst.for blower has inst. For wiring.

**Q: I need a 4-position switch for a DC project.  Does this alter the current for the positions, or does it just send the current to the terminals?**
A: Just sends the voltage to the terminal that is switched to. Current is dependent upon the load at the different terminals.

**Q: My current golf cart fan switch only has two wires for the previous 3 speed fan. Can this be wired for 3 speeds or will only one speed be its option?**
A: I believe the switch you have is a rheostat switch, it can send different voltage to the fan to control the fan speed. This switch sends the same voltage to 3 different wires in the fan motor with a different winding which then controls the fan speed.
